Hu-Dat Noodle House 2 — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Stopped on a Saturday while heading back home to the RGV, arrived 1hr till close. House was pretty busy and a few large groups arrived after us, our orders were promptly taken while the two waitresses cashed out customers, refilled drinks, rushed around to attend tables, and juggled to go orders. Food came out in no time and tasted great, just like I'd remembered since the last time I had been.

I had my usual combo bun with beef, a great mix of textures, flavors, and even temperatures. The egg rolls being my favorite part. My friend got the lo mein with chicken, could smell the smokiness of the noodles as the plate landed. Chicken was tender and veggies weren't over cooked. Great flavor, can see why it's a best seller.

Price was and has always been way better than anything available down here in the valley, not to mention portion size and significantly better flavor. We've been living in Las Vegas for 9 years, moved to Calallen this year. Finally got a chance to try this Pho restaurant nearby. Tried Pho with Meatball, really dissapointed! There was no taste, the cashier not friendly at all, and the server was seems tired. We could not finished our food, had to bring it home and hoping someone would finished it, because i won't. This place is a self service business, you came in, go straight to counter to order food, then sit and wait for your food. Get your own drink too! No wonder when we were leaving, none of those people left them tips? Perhaps they gave tips ahead when ordering food? One could only hope :) Vegas spoiled us, too much great food with great taste. I can't understand how people said this place is delicious? I wish i could feel...

Service was bad as soon as we walked in. The lady that came to seat us was pretty rude and rushed us when ordering and just had a bad attitude. As I was eating my food (sesame chicken) I noticed something in the chicken. I pulled out a metal wire from what I believe was a grill brush. I handed it to the lady serving us and her response was "its probably from the brush they use all the time, they need a new one." She said she would let them know about it and I handed her the metal wire. She walked off and I physically observed her toss the wire on the ground and go on with what she was doing.
