I honestly still cant believe what you will read below actually happened, and I will never go to any other KFC on the planet for the remainder of my life because of it.
I went to this KFC the other night to grab dinner with my beloved dog in the car. It was 10:30 pm when I pulled up and tried to order a 5 piece meal. The kid on the intercom replied that they were no longer serving chicken for the evening, despite the fact that they are supposed to be open until 11 pm. I was a little annoyed at this, but I didn't make my annoyance known, and instead politely asked what they had. The kid replied that they had chicken tenders, and so I asked him if he could give me some of that. I then pulled up to the window. I was on a call with a friend of mine using my headphones during this encounter, and when I got to the window my friend said in my ear "Bro you should have just gone to Raising Canes!" To which I replied "I know I should have gone to Raising Canes, but its late and I'm hungry". At that moment the 20 something kid from the intercom opened the window and heard that comment.
He looked at me puzzlingly for a moment with a slacked jaw, and stated: "Well i'm sorry we don't have chicken right now, but how do you feel about dog?" Still having my friend on the phone in my ear I could barely hear this sentence from the kid and I replied "What?" as I simultaneously removed my headphones. He then repeated what I thought I heard initially. "WELL, I'M SORRY WE DONT HAVE CHICKEN RIGHT NOW BUT HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT DOG??". I said "DOG?!?, What?!?! What are you saying?!?!". To which the kid replied, "Well I see you have your dog with you and if you give him to me I could kill him and cook him up and feed him to you!".
At this point the realization set in that we were actually doing this. I debated on my options for a moment, and decided to be an adult, and with smoldering rage quietly told him to go get his manager. He instantly started to tremble, and beg, and apologize, but I told him that was nice, he needed to go get his manager or I was coming inside the store. He left for a moment and his manager Kimberly came rushing to the window a short time after. She walked up and began apologizing for not having any chicken. I politely stopped her and said, "Maam, I am not interested in chicken anymore, I called you over here because the employee you have working the window just told me that you guys don't have any chicken left, but he was perfectly happy to kill my dog, cook him up, and feed him to me, if I wanted". To which she looked aghast, shook her head and said "Christopher" and immediately started apologizing. I told her to throw my order in the trash and please give me my money back, along with the store number and the phone number for cooperate. She did this all immediately, while still sincerely apologizing. I thanked her and left with my furry best friend.
Moments later I called the number Kimberly had given me, only to be met with a person that barley spoke English. KFC has apparently outsourced their complaint line to third world countries to make it more difficult for you to complain or something. After doing my best to verbalize the story above, the person on the complaint line replied "Sir, I am so sorry that you were not served the chicken. I will put in the complaint about you not being served the chicken." In disbelief I replied "Sir, I am sorry, but could you please explain to me why I am filing a complaint so I am sure you understand?" To which he replied "You are very angry that you arrived at the location and were not served the chicken." At this point I hung up. Two days later I called and received a better representative who was able to actually log the complaint. So far I have heard of no resolution or been updated on what happened, and because of this lack of communication, I have decided to publicly share the experience.
I would not go here guys. If this was allowed to happen with no repercussions, imagine what young disgruntled little employees like this kid can do to the food without...
Read moreHere's a story about disappointment. My husband loves KFC. I do not because I have never had a good experience. I haven't eaten at a kfc since the 90's. He convinced me to give it a try about a year ago. I finally say yes we decide on our order and he runs to the store and goes inside to order. An hour later and he's been told multiple times, oh we forgot to drop the chicken. An hour and 15 minutes later he finally gets his order brings it home and most of our sides are not in the bags and the ones that are in the bags are cold. As you can imagine my mind was not changed. But last night he sees an ad for a free bucket of chicken with 15 spent on sides. He really wants to try again. I agree, it took some convincing because i would rather just make it myself, than spend hard earned money on food and service that has repeatedly been a disappointment. We decide on our order place it on the website, pay and off he goes to the store. About 40 minutes later I call him because the store is one mile away from our home and he tells me they just now handed me the order I'm walking out now, they've been telling me since i walked in that they were putting the order together... He gets home and surprise we didn't get any of the sauces we paid for, the sides are cold and the chicken is soggy. Don't call it a come back. Because it's not, it's the exact same crappy service and food it's...
Read morePulled into an empty drive thru to order some food. The girl taking my order was really nice. After I ordered I pulled up to pay and was asked to pull forward to wait for my order. I ordered 1 Mac and cheese bowl. Not a big order, no reason to wait. I mentioned their not being anyone being me and they still insisted I pull up. Obviously this is to cheat their drive through service time. I figured I'd just do the survey and mention what happened there, however I noticed they were giving out duplicate receipts rather than the original one that includes the survey information. When they brought me my food out, I requested the original receipt so that I could take the survey to leave my feedback. The manager came out with a second duplicate receipt with a handwritten note offering me free food. I explained that I wasn't after free food, I simply wanted to take the survey to provide feedback on the experience. Her exactly words were "I can't give you the survey receipt because it's the end of the week and I can't have any more bad surveys. All I can offer you is free food." I informed her I didn't want the free food and would be contacting corporate to share this experience. This...
