Stopped by today. Ordered the fillet o fish, with tartar sauce. Got some mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. Grabbed a yeast roll on the way to the end of the line. The tartar sauce no longer has dill weed in it. The fish is super soggy. No crunch. The flavor was nice though. Mashed potatoes were spot on, so was the Mac n cheese. Dinner roll was tiny. They no longer sell custard in a cup, or custard pie. Not even caramel flan or creme brulle. I asked the desert girl about this, she just gave me a weird look. No more strawberry shortcake either. I didn't see any stuffed olives at the end either. And going through the line no more roast beef. They used to have a bit of carvery back in the day, when Lubys was located inside the mall. I loved the carved roast beef with some beef juice poured over the meat slices. And the tossed salad is gone also. They used to have the salads in a huge salad bowl. They would toss your salad for you, then ask what dressing you would like on it. Thousand Island used to be my favorite. Wish they would go back to the old recipes. And old menu. Make the rolls bigger also. And bring back custard pies, and custard in a cup. Caramel flan would be nice also. I left a 2 dollar tip even though I got zero service. Next time I'm just buying the Lubys Fish Fillets from HEB. They come out crispy in...

The food is very good, there are plenty of options varying from homestyle to cafeteria. For a chain restaurant the quality of the serving materials is very lacking, it may seem like a nitpicking thing to look at but when I pay good money for food I expect good quality utensils as well. The servers are very sweet but not as attentive as they could be. Back to the utensils, the napkins were all frayed and or stained, the trays were cracked and quite a few silverware were bent and very worn. The carpets could stand to be cleaned as well. Another thing that struck me as both good and bad was the outside parking lot and surrounding garden. The lot is mostly very well paved and maintained (cut) as well as the garden. But they're both cover in litter and it doesnt loon clean. I would return and do solely because of the people and food, but the building and maintenance need to be held to a...

Me and my gr daughter went to lubys Saratoga cc tx yesterday around 2;15 pm. We were encouraged to go in and eat there because the outside bill board says 7.99. . But it doesn't specify. We went in and ordered steak, mashed potatoes and gr. beans ,roll and a drink. To our surprise the amt was close to 17$. Which is to to much. We asked why the amt was so high. Told em it's advertised at 7.99. They made up lame excuses that only specific food items were special 7.99. We didn't know. We thought all food items our choice to choose a meal would be 7.99. plus drink cost. I'm a sr disabled lady and I qualify for sr discount no matter what time it is. But cashier said it's till 3 pm. Not fair . The time should not matter. The point is if we r sr ppl the discount shd be available at all times. Although food is gd at lubys. But because of the high exaggerated price we won't eat...

I'd like to thank Luby's of Corpus Christi, Tx. We had planned to go to another restaurant for a birthday lunch with family. When we called that restaurant to give them a heads up for 20 people, they said they only had 1 server show up to work that day!! (Is a big Mexican restaurant). ....and could not accommodate us. We thought about where else we could go with available tables and staff and not a 2 hour wait for those tables. My wife thought of Luby's. Luby's was very accommodating, moved tables together for us and were awesome. They looked fully staffed and the waitress was great refilling drinks & clearing dishes constantly. Thank you Luby's and the staff of Luby's for SHOWING UP and doing a great job. You saved our birthday luncheon!

I visited the Corpus Christ location on Saratoga 2/19/24. I picked up 3 plates to go of whole fish and sides at their main serving line thinking the food would be fresh but I was dead wrong. The fish were old, dry, and burnt. The rolls were all burnt as well. I can't understand how anyone would serve this quality of food to anyone including a paying customer. It seems the employees serving the food are either trained to serve customers old food or they don't care and just serve what should be thrown away. With prices of everything as high as they are consumers should expect to get quality fresh food that they are expecting when they pay for it. I only posted pictures of one of the meals.

Lubys has always been a great place to have a family meal. While prices have changed one of the things that hasn't is the great people they employee. While in line one of the ladies wished a customer a belated birthday and he was blown away she remembered his birthday. Food is always really good and while most even bother to try, the liver and onions is always just right. Their willingness to help you to your table when you have the kids and quick drink refills make the experience almost home like. Did I mention the Arnold Palmers are always made just right?
