My Favorite Muffin — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Bottom line:decent coffee, but there are better and less expensive places to have breakfast.

The bad:

I gave this place a second shot, but honestly this location feels dark and grimy the further you get into the restaurant. I feel like their staff don't have enough time to do a full cleaning for some reason. Their floors are dirty and the walls and sides of the counter seem a bit grimy. It doesn't show up well on camera, but it's there. There's dust up on and around the vents and several of the roof tiles have water damage.

As for the price, it's not really worth what you get. You're paying essentially the same you would at a Starbucks for less quality. The menu link on Google Maps also takes you to an out of date menu with more reasonable prices listed. I'm not sure how this place stays in business unless there are quite a few companies ordering from it for events. The fact its served on the cheapest of cheap disposable plates is also silly.

The good:

The staff are nice enough and the muffin was about what you'd expect. The coffee was pretty good. I didnt feel like I would get sick...

I have been eye balling this place since 2014. I drive by it everyday. The building is appealing and the location is convenient.

After months and months of dieting I decided to treat myself and give this place a try.

I was extremely excited, I walked in the door and it was one of the most awkward experiences EVER! One person was ahead of me ordering, as I walked in the door the girl at the counter looked at me with disgust. It may have been because I walked in half an hour before closing. I felt so uncomfortable.

I walked towards their muffin section and saw a bunch of micro tiny muffins that looked dry and old.

I don't like to judge a book by it's cover so I went ahead and started to place my order. I asked the girl, if they made raspberry danishes and her tone was just WAY OFF! She seemed bothered by my question.

I tried to rub off her rude tone and ordered three mini muffins, oreo, chocoate and a peanut butter one. I was so uncomfortable that I rushed out! I didn't get to look around. I felt so un welcomed.

Needless to say, I was NOT impressed at all by their muffins and will NOT...

Did I go to a different place ? I honestly think that my daughter made better muffins in her Easy Bake Oven as a child. I tried 6 different muffins and disliked each and every one of them. Upon entering, I expected to see a beautiful variety of over the top muffins…some topped with a streusel, some with a drizzle and some just delicious with no extra bells and whistles. To my disappointment, I was left standing before a case of flat topped, blah, unimpressive, sad excuses for muffins. There was not one bite that was memorable in any kind of a good way. Muffins aside, I’m pretty sure that sitting a carton of 1/2 and 1/2 in a bowl of ice water is a health code violation not to mention being a bit off putting and has anyone forgotten...
