Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Cortez

I’m shocked that a manger would argue with a costumer… Normally we don’t have any problems with this Pizza Hut, but today we ordered 2 large pan crust pizzas. One with extra pepperoni and bacon and the other one with pepperoni, bacon, and black olives. However, what we received was one Pan crust and one hand tossed. The pan crust did have extra pepperoni, but instead of bacon it had Canadian bacon and a strange smattering of onion. While the second one was hand tossed with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and sausage. Normally you’d think no big deal, just call the restaurant and get it fixed. So we called them and they looked up the order and said they’d remake the pizzas, but for training purposes they asked we bring one slice of each back with us. Again, we thought, no big deal and waited another 20 mins and then drove back to the restaurant. However, once there the manager looked at the two slices through the plastic bag and said he agreed that the hand tossed one was wrong, but that the other one was correct. He did not bother to take it out of the bag to actually see that the slices of what he called bacon were in fact Canadian bacon or to see if it had onion under the cheese like we said. Instead, he poked at it through the bag and said he wouldn’t replace that one because he said it was correct. I emphasized again that it was wrong. He wouldn’t actually take it out to check and simply refused to correct it and give us the second replacement pizza. I ended up saying I disagreed with him and drove off with the one pizza corrected. I was absolutely shocked that first he argued with me and second that he refused to correct...

Grew up here in Cortez and have to say, this Pizza Hut has always been my favorite. I’ve tried many before in a couple different states but none can compare to this one. The food always comes out tasting great and the staff have always been friendly.

What prompted this review was my most recent order. I had ordered a dinner box with the cheese stick upgrade. When I picked it up from their drive up window, my fiancé peaked inside and noticed they had given us breadsticks. I parked and went inside to let them know and David took a look and even reprinted a receipt (the one we had gotten was very faint, couldn’t see anything really) and said he’d start up a batch of cheese sticks for us, and we got to keep the breadsticks as well. He was very nice and didn’t act like I had inconvenienced him for asking for what was originally ordered. (I’ve had some employees at different establishments act like I’m annoying/terrible for even asking!)

Very bad service, the place was empty except for one table that was about done. We try to spend quality time with family have a few laughs, but soon after we sit we are told to be quiet (while having an empty place) We wait a min for our drinks. We get our food and we start eating since we couldn't be loud we had a quiet dinner. We get half way threw our meal and each person at the table had finished their drink. Our server was no where to be found. We waited patiently for our refills but she never came out to check on us. So we just get our left overs. We didn't get our ticket, except this one employee standing at the register. In a rude tone tells us to pay. I walk up and said "it would have been better if we got refills to finish our meal with.
