Smokin' Hogan's — Restaurant in Corydon

I want to first say I was really disappointed in their food, I've had it several times before they opened this restaurant at their other restaurant and food truck and this unfortunately did not come close to what I was used to getting in flavor and texture. I got the 4 meat combo platter with coleslaw and okra. First the wings had good smoke and flavor and were very good, second the brisket was over the top on the rub the smoked flavor was lost and the rub was very different tasting almost cajun like. Third the ribs were smokey but tough and no brown sugar sweetness that I have grown to love. Fourth the pulled pork was really good, moist and tender. I remember the coleslaw being creamy and tasty but was so disappointed in the flavor, dry and very sour almost a gone bad taste. Okra was delicious and hard to mess up okra. All and all I can only give two stars and the second star was because the portion size was huge. I will probably not be back but go try it for yourself and let me know...

A mixed review, mostly good! My husband was disappointed in the icelandic cod sandwich. He said it was overcooked, very dry inside, and flavorless. When he inquired about tartar sauce, he was rather nonchalantly told there was none made and no attempt to throw some together quickly was made either. Aside from that, everything was incredibly delicious! He had the smoked meatloaf. It was juicy, great smoky flavor, and amazing! while I had the brisket sandwich, very tender, fall apart, juicy. Very good meats! Their BBQ sauce is very complimentary of both their meatloaf and brisket. We both had the fried okra, which yes, could have used a bit more flavor admittedly. But, throw in a side of their ranch dip/dressing and it makes a huge, tasty difference! Overall, we were satisfied with our very first visit here and will be return...

if you want good bbq you cant get anywhere else this is your place. I've had a lot of good and bad bbq in southern Indiana/kentucky this is the best by far the best. i got the rib dinner and my wife got the pulled chicken sandwich and we also got the nachos to share between the both of us. let me tell you the ribs (which were dry rubbed) were so good they didnt even need any sauce on them (they have sweet and spicy bbq on the tables which btw the sauces were 🔥) and were so fall off the bone you didnt have to barely touch them to fall out. lastly i have give a shout out to the staff. there is only two ladies and the pitmaster working and we're able to get food out at a reasonable amount of time considering there was quite a few people in the store when we went around 6:00 pm on a Saturday. 11/10 definitely...
