Normally, I don't leave negative reviews simply because an employee doesn't seem like they're having a good day. But whoever the young man with a ponytail is that was closing last night had a rotten additude and was clearly angry.
He begrudgingly (from the start) approached to take my order. He was angry in tone, demeanor, and motions - aggressively grabbing or dropping the tools/ingredients for my order.
He interrupted multiple times and rushed me through every step. He barked only the nessecary words to complete the task and never made eye contact, or any sign of a mildly respectful human interaction. "Rice. Beans. Protein.."
I was trying to decide between proteins for about 2 seconds, and he immediately threw another "Protein?!".... every word he spoke was spitefully pointed, and were really commands to tell him the answers that get the order over with quickly, rather than questions.
When this uncomfortable interaction was wrapping up, he said, "Is that it...". -"Yes, that'll do it," I said. "Anything else....," he said sharply. "No that's it."
A third time he asked - as if the first two I was lying to him and was going to surprise him by asking for something else, or as if I was stupid - "No chips, no drinks, no water, nothing else."
I just said "No". He slapped the burrito down, told me the price to pay, and left the register.
I was very close to pointing out his additude or asking for a manager, but decided to let it go since it was getting late. I worked in food service for years in similar positions to his so I know the job is not always pretty - but regardless of what he has going on in or out of work, this was a very immature and inappropriate way to behave with a customer (or anyone really) that did nothing except walking in the door and wanting food. *** I have had good experiences here too- one of the younger guys is great, and so is one of the older...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in the Bristol Village shopping center. This shopping center is loaded with a lot of restaurant, Sushi, McD, Starbucks and a few other restaurants. Today my visit here a Chipotle by far the worst experience I've had dealing with a manager (General Manager) Izzy. I purchased my food dine in, I went to go sit down at a table and noticed that most of the table were dirty. I did find on table that was Simi clean didn't have food on it like the other one just salt on the table so I wiped it off myself. Once I was finished with my food I was thirsty I went back to the register to ask for a cup of water. The GM Izzy was drilling a employee (at the front of the store) I was waiting for a good time to say excuse me because she was in the middle of a conversation. I realize she was not going to acknowledge me so I said excuse me She turns and looks at me and says WHAT! I asked can I please have a cup of water and she proceeded to give me a cup. I went over to the drinking fountain and I filled my cup up with water I sat down and took a sip out of the cup looked into the cup and noticed that there was some black stuff floating in my cup. I went back up to the front to notify the General Manager Izzy and she said ok in a very rude tone. I went back to the table to clear off my trash and started to head out assuming that she would go put an out of order sign on the water, but she continued to proceed doing what she was doing. I turned around and went back and asked her well can you get me water from back there where you guys are at she says no if there's an issue that's with the pipes it's in the system. So you're telling me that you Chipotle is having an issue with the water here and you the GM (Izzy) still serving food here... I will contact the department of health. I will advise anyone not to eat here until the Department of Health...
Read moreA truly nightmare experience at this Chipotle location. The manager apparently thought I was not going to tip on an online / pickup order, and decided to retaliate by sabotaging my order. "Sabotaging" is putting it nicely, the burrito that I received was unbelievably gross; I have no idea what inedible trash it was filled with. Here below is an excerpt from my complaint to Chipotle corporate last week; I'm just warning people about this place—look at the other recent reviews/complaints. This is a big problem now, but for years this place has been great. So sad getting victimized for no reason: Dear Chipotle Corporate, this unfortunate event was by far the worst experience I've ever had at any drive through, anywhere. I'm interested in what actions Chipotle is implementing to ensure this kind of thing never happens again. There is no way that I'll ever return to that store location even though it's a block from my home. I believe the manager tried to mess with me, to make me sick. Furthermore, I think it is a serious mistake for Chipotle to include a tip chart regarding online orders- which employees can see ahead of making the actual order. No other drive-throughs do this. Because clearly, your employees are capable of retaliating if they do not see a tip amount; by providing an inferior product, or perhaps tampering with the order in any number of disgusting ways. The pathetic irony here is that I ALWAYS tip; I tip in cash when I pick up my orders because it's more personal. You need to see your security cameras from this exact transaction date and time. You should be able to see whatever sabotage the manager did to my meal, and you will also see me tipping him in cash upon picking up my meal (unaware of the damage he had caused me). There is no way that my burrito was not tampered with. I just can't believe the store thought they could get...
