Starbucks — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I am normally very happy with the service I get from here, the gentleman are always very welcoming. The last two times have not been great, and today in particular was pretty irritating. The female cashier that I worked with, seemed to be having some kind of off day. I ordered a small drink and that was it, it was completed but I was not informed and thus I sat there for almost 10 minutes, before I thought. Let me just check. I would seriously appreciate it if you voiced out the names of the drinks you're making. It's one of the things that I really like about Starbucks, is that the baristas are not afraid to say the name on the cup so that you know when your order is ready. There are two specific gentlemen I do want to give a shout out to, because I love going in the mornings because they are there. They are so welcoming, I really hope that the individual has a better day and yeah...

I walked in here not knowing what I wanted. I was greeted by Mc Call. He helped walk me through my order. I was disappointed that they didn’t have nitro cold brew but he recommended regular cold brew and made it specific and perfect for me. I had all these crazy requests and modifications, and he catered to my ridiculousness. Thank you for being so kind and making my experience more enjoyable. Please Starbucks, give him a raise. He’s one of the nicest cashiers and baristas I have ever met. And now I will be back to this location and you have my loyalty all because of the outstanding customer service — thanks to Mc Call. I have been visiting this Starbucks every Wednesday since I am in the area. And the following observations are true every single time;

Staff never greets you, in fact you have to wait for a while before someone will come and take the order. coffee always comes out cold and you have to ask them to remake it. They do it but you can see the grudge .. the unwillingness on their faces. food always comes out wrong, you have to request them to redo it.

Initially I thought they are just having some tough days but it’s a predictable pattern. Guess I need to find another Starbucks...
