Sadly changing my review from the original 5 stars to reflect a repeat visit I had at the store. Really enjoyed the food the first time we went and was excited to go again.
Went in to get lunch and brought my infant in my arms. Went to order, and when someone finally came to speak to me they tell me they’re very busy with another large order and it’ll be a long wait- 25 minutes. I say okay, I figure I can feed my baby while we wait, but then they repeat how busy they are and that it will be at least 30 minutes now (“if not longer”) and were kind of rude about it. There were already a couple of people waiting for their pick up orders who looked annoyed. I was willing to wait but the woman who spoke to me made it seem like they didn’t want my business.
I was very disappointed. I get there’s growing pains for any small business, but the rude woman I spoke to made me never want to go back. Plus it seems like they don’t value in-person customers, putting higher priority on online orders (though even then it seems like the people waiting for their pick up orders were also waiting a while). If you’re unexpectedly busy, fine- but at least be nice about it! Of note- my baby wasn’t crying and was calm and I was polite during this interaction. I don’t love writing poor reviews, but this was...
Read moreI've been visiting this spot since they opened. Their food is delicious, well-made, and of course. Healthy. I get different variations of the avocado toast along with the healthy veggies sandwich. I absolutely love their almond butter smoothie. Their natural juices are also tasty. My boyfriend loves ordering chicken and turkey sandwiches from here, as well. The service is attentive and very polite. No complaints. The owner is sometimes at the shop, and he's very knowledgeable on any of the food items. The tables are always clean. I also like that they play so jazz and pop music to add character to the ambiance. Definitely a 5/5 star rating....
Read moreAn excellent healthy alternative to the junk you find on East Side Costa Mesa. You would probably have to travel to 17th street or to the Camp to get healthy options.
I got an Ahi sandwich with toppings I don't normally find in other sandwich shops. The best part: you know it is fresh from the first bite.
The interior can probably seat 20 comfortably, and the equipment is clearly new and the shop is clean.
I will be dropping in for the their $5 almond butter and...
