Confetti Ice Cream in Costa Mesa was absolutely amazing. They have a huge variety of options to choose from, and you can mix and match flavors in the best way possible. We were first greeted by one of the owners, Lin, who was super kind and patient while we tried a good amount of flavors. Honestly, there were too many to choose from because everything tasted phenomenal. The Snickerdoodle was incredible, and the Sour Belt flavor was spot on with the candy but in ice cream and custard form. The custard itself was so soft and thick at the same time, with a smoothness that perfectly balanced the Italian ice flavors. The whole experience was shocking in the best way possible. I ended up getting the Blue Cooler, which had coconut, blue raspberry, and custard, and I was blown away by the flavor. The coconut and blue raspberry were so bold, and they paired perfectly with the custard. I honestly cannot believe I had not tried this place sooner and really wish I did. After we finished, we got to talk with the owners, Fara and Lin, and they were so sweet, kind, and patient. You can tell they have put so much hard work and dedication into this place, running it for almost 11 years. This is hands down one of the absolute best ice cream spots, and I appreciate them so much. This place is now my number-one recommendation for anyone looking for amazing ice cream and a great experience. Thank you,...
Read moreConfetti is heaven. And the owners who bust their butts day in and day out to deliver the best ice cream, custard and frozen ice are equally amazing.
Be prepared to wait on a weekend night, the line stretches out the door and it’s well worth it. A local gem serving up unique combinations of delectable, home made and just to die for ice creams. You can keep things simple and go for a double combo or you can try one of their pairings which just work so well together (pineapple dole with coconut, oreo and cookie butter custard, espresso toffee crunch and vanilla custard, the list goes on).
The custard (soft serve) is beyond incredible. I’m not sure I’ve ever had better custard than this. The cookie butter is out of control delicious and the vanilla equally so.
Their ice cream flavors are also spectacular. Espresso toffee crunch, oreo something I forget the rest, Andes mint, taro, black sesame, cheesecake, peanut butter, etc. my god. Wow.
The owners are equally great, attentive, kind, helpful, samples left and right - a true pleasure to come back here time and time again. It doesn’t get better. Don’t miss it....

Service: at the time I went the owner was there. He was great and helpful in recommending flavor combinations. He was also went out of his to help us pack some ice cream with ice packs to take it back to Riverside, which is about 1hr from there.
Ice cream: pricing is based upon sizing of cup. Each cup size has so many scoops of ice cream. You can choose to do Italian ice (sorbet with custard ice cream) or just pure ice cream or scooped ice cream with soft serve ice cream.
I ordered the Italian ice with passion fruit and pineapple sorbet with vanilla custard ice cream. I also tried their mudslide combination which consists of Oreo milkshake ice cream with chocolate soft serve. The former is light and great for summer. The latter is more for those craving for something more creamy and heavier. Both tasted great.
Overall: It is slightly pricey for ice cream but the service won me over. The owner was very generous and considerate to help pack an ice cream to go so I can take it back to...
