I went to this Stater Brothers today and left extremely disappointed.
I made myself a cup of food at the salad bar; and I get it if its a bad area or whatever for them to be watching me. I got condiments to go also but decided I didn't want the plate I made myself. I put all of the items I had on some end cap of an isle and on the way out a young female manager stopped and asked yo see my bags. Apparently somebody (who I don't believe exists, pure speculation) claimed to have saw me take something.. I was waiting for the bus so it was very inconvenient. She took my backpack after complying and I completely emptied out my handbag. With nothing consealed she couldn't believe it, it was almost sad how poorly judged I was at this Stater Brothers. I had to re organize all of the clothes I emptied out for and asked for my backpack back (which had nothing of the stores in it) and refused to give me back my property. I was frustrated at this point because my bus was going to be there any minute from then. She wouldn't give me back my backpack lol. Im glad nothing too important was in thrtr besides some of my drawings a phone charger and pens/clothes etc. The experience I received made me feel terrible. To be called a thief, searched through all of my belongings, and the possibility of missing my bus. The experience i had at this Stater Bros made me very upset.. She wouldn't give my backpack back, I didn't put up a fight though. If she wanted the lint that's in the corners of my bag she got what she wanted. I can't believe she took something from me AFTER I emptied out one bag and handed my backpack for her to search..
Really an embarrassing group of people (or atleast the higer ups). I'll never forget this sad Stater Brother's attitude when they were in the wrong. The situation was very uneven, the employees had their managers back (which is reasonable I understand) but their manager was arrogant, disrespectful, and rude. I asked for my stuff back after showing her I had no products and the answer was no. I think I am very lucky nothing too important was in the bag.. I really hope she looks back on this because it really hurt my feelings coming to a store just to lose...
Read moreI recently stopped in at Stator Bros. I have been a Stater Bros. shopper for Over 50 years. The only reason why I'm giving this review a one star is based on this one Visit any other time they would get five stars from me. I went to the meat department and I was going to purchase chicken breast. The price was 1.77 lb. I told the butcher I wanted about 6 pieces. I also asked if he could please trim off the strings of fat off of the breasts Of chicken. But I noticed that when he weighed them. The butcher which I believe is the manager of the meat department. He keyed in on the weigh machine $3.99 lb. I asked him why he was charging me that amount which is $2.22 more per lb. He said it was the cost of the trimming of the chicken. And only took him about a minute to do. He said they charge for the trimming. I said it's always been my understanding throughout the years. The stater's brothers meat market will cut it anyway you want it at no charge. That's part of The bonus of shopping stater brothers meat market they will Trim it, Tenderize it, and season it for you at no charge. I researched and looked on stater brother's website and found that it is in fact a bonus of their excellent customer service they provide. The butcher was going to charge me more per pound. For the trimming then what the cost of the chicken was per pound. Then he changed up and said he won't charge me this time. So if the store manager is reading this review , could you please respond and tell me if i'm right or wrong. Should there be a charge for trimming? Throughout the years I have seen commercials, advertising. That stater brothers will trim it anyway. You like it...
Read moreI won't shop at this particular location again. I moved nearby a couple weeks ago, have been to this store 3 times and left unhappy all 3 times. My first visit while waiting in line to check out the cashier stood there talking to the customer in front of me about her dogs for a VERY long time without ringing up a single item. The customer was even embarrassed because she was holding up the line. When I get to the cashier she only said 1 thing to me and that was my total. I brushed it off, went back a few days later, made a point to go to a different cashier. This time I was shopping for my job but needed one item for myself. I asked the cashier to please ring the one item separately from the rest. She looked at the card in my hand and very rudely said "why, all of this won't go on that card?" I was shocked and just said "yes, but I'm paying for this other stuff with a company card." Sorry, but it's none of her business why I need separate transactions and what if the reason was lack of funds (it wasn't) but that would be embarrassing. So I went back again today... Idk why, but I did. The cashier was great BUT.. 2 of my items were messed up because the person bagging was clueless. I had a carrot cake and some of their fresh sushi (and lots of other stuff. The guy bagging mixed chemicals and food together and put my carrot cake and sushi sideways in the bag then put them in my basket with the handles up basically smashing them to one side. Almost every employee I've had contact with at this location is either rude or incompetent. I won't...
