I never write reviews, but I felt I should share so other people could make a better informed decision. I have gotten gel X nails done here once before, and I enjoyed the result. I needed to get my nails done for my engagement photoshoot and was trying out what I might like for my wedding day. I called and made a same day appt on a Monday. I told the lady on the phone the reason for getting my nails and to please place me with someone very experienced in Gel X. She said to come in and they'll put me with anyone. I thought it was strange but rolled with it.
When I arrived, I worked with Lisa. Unfortunately, it seemed like she was not very experienced with Gel X. There was Gel leaking out onto my skin that got cured there. A couple of the fingers had air pockets near the cuticle. Her solution was to grind down the surrounding area and blend it into my natural nail with a metal bit on the e-file. She then put Gel polish right onto my natural nail in those areas instead of building it back up. The French tip was too chunky, but I should have spoken up more about that in the appointment, so that is on me. I also got an almond shape when I wanted an oval shape.
I took my engagement photos and honestly the nails dont look terrible, but they aren't worth paying $60 plus tip. I was worried that my nail bed was damaged with the extra grinding and I didn't like the shape so two days later I went to Abeille Nails to get them redone. Ann helped me diagnose the issues and we tried to salvage the nails to reduce any more filing on my nails. As Ann removed the gel color, we discovered a large air pocket on one finger, and that none of the cuticles were sealed. She said she was unable to work with the quality of the application so we had to remove them fully. After removing them, it was obvious that I had very thin spots on my natural nail that were sensitive to touch. So we did BIAB to protect them, and I have to grow my nails all the way out for months before I can get nail extensions again. It is unfortunate that I paid $60 to damage my nails and prevent me from enjoying fake nails for a while. Even though I've had good experiences before at Finest Nails, I just can't risk getting an employee that will damage my nails, so I won't...

Omg. I can’t say enough great things about Finest Nails. The salon is very fun and upscale. Their pedicure bowls are cool sparkly waves and they have a beautiful light fixture hanging in the middle of the salon. I came here on a whim while getting my brakes done at a local mechanic. I was in desperate need of a mani/pedi so I decided to check them out. A mani/pedi was an affordable $45 and it was great. I wanted to do a fall manicure and Tina who did my mani did an amazing job with each design. Various designs on all 10 fingers for $12. This was for sure a $100+ mani/pedi for $57. Next time I’m definitely going to upgrade my package. (And of course,...

It sucks because Amanda my regular lady will wonder why I...
