This shop is located inside of Mitsuwa Market in a hip and modern food court with various other sweet stalls and gachapon. I was enticed by the yummy looking matcha sweets on their menu, especially their Japanese style parfaits, which are hard to find in the US. We received our order relatively quickly. I loved the Matcha Mont Blanc Strawberry Parfait. There were so many different and interesting ingredients, giving the parfait a fun variety of textures from crunchy wafer to squishy mochi. It reminded me of the parfaits I would have in Japan. The matcha is presented both in soft serve and Mont Blanc form, further adding to the whimsical wheelhouse of textures in the plastic cup. The light bitterness of the matcha helps to cut through the sweetness of all the toppings as well. One small note is that I wish they served their parfaits in tall parfait glasses instead of plastic cups. Parfaits should have an air of whimsy and fancy, deserving more than a common plastic cup. The matcha strawberry mochi was pretty good as well, the skin was soft and chewy and the strawberry was...

Read moreI was so excited to try this new matcha dessert spot inside of Mitsuwa. I love matcha desserts so my friend and I made the trip to give this new place a try. After waiting in line for 20+ mins, the person taking our order messed it up, which I get it humans make mistakes but then they made us pay for the difference it costs between ice cream and mochi. When we received our ice cream, it tasted very bitter and grass like. The texture was not creamy and very grainy. There was no flavor of matcha. I am so disappointed because I wanted to like it and was looking forward to a new sweet treat stop after a delicious meal in the food court. Ultimately, it is not worth the hype nor your time nor money. I get it, you want to try it because of the cool stringy mochi but take the video and just leave. Save yourself the money and time and go to a different and most importantly an actual yummy matcha...
