I've been a loyal, consistent customer here for close to 2 years, but after my last few disappointing experiences here I won't be returning. Lately, it has been feeling like they are trying to scam me by charging for services that I haven't asked for and therefore should not be charged for.
I am not happy with the fact that the nail tech did a more expensive service for me without letting me know, and then expected me to pay for it at the end. When I brought it to their attention that I booked my appt for a basic gel mani (NOT one with builder gel), the owner blankly stared at me without any remorse and still expected me to pay for it. I was nice and told her it's ok, I'll pay for it this time, but moving forward please just ask me what I want BEFORE starting the service (or just go off of the service I booked when scheduling online?)
At my next appointment, I made sure to clarify with the nail tech that I wanted a basic gel mani. At the end, the owner attempted to charge me $10 to remove the builder gel from last time (remember, the one I didn't ask for!). In fact, she was rude and tried arguing back and forth with me when I told her I didn't think it was right for me to pay for it. She acted like I was upset about a measly $10 but in reality, it's the principle for me.
Also ironically, the builder gel never lasts! The first time, a few of my nails chipped after only 1-2 days. The second time, one nail peeled off in less than a week. Funny that they are so insistent on being sneaky and charging me more for a...

I’m honestly embarrassed it took me almost a month to write this review, because the service and quality I received at AME Nail Bar were truly exceptional. Ivy did my manicure and Kathy did my pedicure—and I couldn’t have been more impressed with both.
My nails were breathtaking. Ivy created the most elegant red French tips over a soft nude base, and added these delicate gold accents that were absolutely mesmerizing. They caught the light in the prettiest way, and I truly couldn’t stop admiring them—little details that made the whole look feel luxurious, artistic, and so me.
And the best part? They lasted four full weeks with no chips, no lifting—just beautifully grown-out perfection. The pedicure, done by Kathy, was equally beautiful with dainty red floral art on my big toes. It held up well, though I trimmed them down eventually so the design is no longer visible (that was on me!).
The whole experience felt special. They offered complimentary champagne during the service, and Kathy even gave me a few packets of lotion to take home—I don’t know if that’s something they always include, but it was such a thoughtful little gift and I really appreciated it.
From the atmosphere to the artistry and warm service, AME Nail Bar is a gem. If you want gorgeous, long-lasting nails and a little pampering along the way, go see Ivy and Kathy. You won’t be disappointed—I’m still in love with how...
Read moreI didn't realize this place changed ownership (I used to be a regular here when it was Lulu Lash and Nail and loved it).
I made an appointment for a full acrylic set and gel pedicure. When I arrived, the receptionist was super nice. I sat down with my nail tech who kept trying to talk me out of getting a full set because she didn't want to do the work. After repeatedly telling her "no, I did not want to do gel x" I could see she was a little frustrated, even though I made an appointment a week prior for a full acrylic set....? She was not friendly, did not talk to me, and was so rough with my hands. I have cuts on three different fingers because she kept hurting me. And when I would flinch or tell her that her it hurt, she would say "it's just because I have thin nail beds." Not a great response. She didn't even groom my nails. She literally just glued everything on, painted them, and left the cuticle and skin around the nail all flaky and gross after destroying it with her tools even though I asked her in the beginning to groom them and she said she would later. :/
Not to mention this visit cost me $120 so I'm expecting a decent level of service. I'm conflicted because the young guy doing my pedicure was great. The receptionist was great. But the nail tech who didn't want to do my nails and hurt me repeatedly left me with a really...
