I am providing five stars because the lobster ravioli was amazing and the perino nice and cold and even the salad was delicious. I've wanted to go here when I travel for work as I have seen long lines outside and it always intrigued me! I always wanted to know what made this place so popular! The food definitely is why! The hostess was so sweet and welcoming when I entered. Very kind and helpful! Unfortunately, somehow the bartender forgot my bread multiple times. In fact, when I sat at the bar, it did take about fifteen minutes for anyone to even notice me. Now, this happens in my life as in kind of small, and I'm extremely patient and so I waited patiently and watched as both bartenders continued to notice and refill multiple drinks for other patrons before even offering me a menu. It was a little bizarre. I could tell my main bartender was newish and he sort of forgot about me multiple times but I have been a server and a bartender before so I get it. It's not easy! What was very strange was when I was waving down the other guy and he literally ignored me. That was super strange! Perhaps he doesn't easily cross into helping out his teammate? I don't know? The manager was super friendly and energetic and asking everyone how their meals were. It was all around good vibes. I observed servers throughout the establishment being knowledgeable and aware of their customer's needs. It was perhaps my fault for sitting at the bar on a Tuesday when the two handling that crowd didn't seem as engaged or able to handle the volume. Either way I'm not upset, just wanted to make sure management had awareness so they could assist with further training! I still never got bread though the ladies next to me did within minutes of sitting down hahaha! The lobster ravioli was amazing. I always order this and often regret it. This was the best I've had! The food is worth it!

We come here a couple of times a year when we're camping up in the area. Our first time was AMAZING! In the last couple of visits, we have been less than impressed. After this last weekend, I don't know that we need to return. We got there at opening and got seated right away along with several others. We waited on our server and waited some more. We saw servers visit the tables all around us a couple of times before ours ever showed up. She took our drink order and an order for an appatizer. Just my beer took over 10 minutes to get, all while watching other tables get their right away. When she did stop back, no beer in hand, we placed our dinner order. Another server brought out our appetizers, and not a minute later, our soup and salad were dropped. We had to eat both at the same time. Then I finally did get my beer. The manager(I'm guessing) stopped by our table a couple of times during our visit. We got our dinner, and by this time, all the tables around us had been done and gone, and had reseated new people. We had to ask the busser to get our server to get our check because she never came back. On the way out, I mentioned to the Manager that " she stopped by our table more than our server did. It really didn't matter to mention the food as the service ruined that experience as well

My 12 year old Son & I ordered two 8oz sirloin dinners, and my Wife ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken breast added. When the waiter brought our sirloin dinners, he gave my Son the normal size steak and gave me the weird shaped under weight one, I tried trading mine for his and he refused lol I had to cut his up for him and it was cooked to perfection 👌 and tasted great from the piece I took from him. I then ask my wife how’s your food? She looked at me like she was surprised that it had no flavor at all, I almost ordered it and was glad I didn’t after I tasted it 😩. The menu read that it had cream sauce and sounded really good. Well when you come to this restaurant and see the atmosphere you think everything is going to taste top notch. She ask the waiter to give her some tabasco sauce so she could Dr it up. The reason we didn’t return the food was we were with a big church group. Now it’s time for me to dig into my dinner and the steak was over cooked, we both ordered medium rare. I can’t believe the cook sent it out when everyone at the table had the same sized steaks. I hate complaining but if I don’t, it might happen to someone else. Also the baked potatoes weren’t cooked enough. I’m sure the owner will read and make sure it don’t happen again. Great place!

I don't know where to start with this place. Fantastic doesn't cut it, great, even less, however, EXQUISITE is the best description i can come up with. My darling had a Cesar salad that was fresh and cold. My clam chowder soup was just unreal ! Almost ordered another bowl... She had the lobster ravioli with shrimp Pesto cream sauce, and i had the chicken saltinbocca, with prosciutto with sage and basil. The bread was warm and pre cut, the olive oil dip was also excellent. OMG !!!! It was out of this world ! If you are going to go out for dinner,NIC's on main Street is the place to go ! I'm not sure if there are any other restaurants in cottonwood or even Sedona that can top this place. The deserts were also phenomenal ! She had the creme brulee, and i have the berry napoleon. The creme brulee was exactly how it is made back home in France. Super super lite and full of flavor. My napoleon fell apart quickly, but it didn't matter, it was also excellent. I wish i could hit the Golden buzzer on this place, so 5 stars times two. And, to our surprise, the bill was under 100 dollars while we expected it to be 110 plus.

I'm sad to write this review. This restaurant came with extremely high recommendations and excellent reviews!!! I was saving this place as a surprise for my husband's birthday in a couple of weeks and stay at the Tavern Hotel.. Due to weather and traffic we ended up here this weekend. Yes it was Friday you guys were busy!!! We sat at the bar, busy as heck!! ( Good Sign) Well your bartenders didn't do your restaurant any justice!! We sat there for a solid 15 minutes before even have been acknowledged, he definitely saw us sitting there. No I'll be right with you, or anything. He came took our drink order asked if we were ready to order. It was horrible! I had questions, I wanted crab legs! He didn't even tell us what your specials were! We quickly ordered our food came he never once came back to see how we were doing? Our experience was extremely dissatisfied , I'm cancelling my room at the Tavern. Will go somewhere else. I wanted to really like this place, yes it was Friday understand. But not for horrible service.

OK, the appetizers were good. I had the stuffed mushrooms and steamers. I ordered these because my wife wanted them. I was not crazy about them, but they were good. Presentation for them left more to be desired. Now let's talk soup and main course the clam chowder was delicious to my taste buds I could not stop myself from eating until it was nearly gone only to convince myself to save room for the main dish. I got the salmon three way with sautéed veggies. I loved it. The salmon was just right as far as temp. One of my salmons was on the salty side, but it was still delicious, and I did not want to stop eating it. Drinks I had the sazarac. I have only had this drink one other time at the Golden Steer in vegas, but this one did not disappoint. Nic's is a place that I would recommend and revisit. The service received a four only because it took a while before I saw my server after the original order, but the place was packed, so I will accept that. Give it a try. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the food.
