HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS. I came in and ordered only a spicy chicken sandwich to go. The cashier named "Ally" as listed on my receipt went back to the sandwich maker and whispered something in his ear with name tag "Josh" and he looked up front at me and quickly looked away and nodded his head to her, I knew something was not right so I continued to observe, he then took a pre made sandwich out from above and changed the wrapper to a fresh wrapper. This is a sandwich that was made on accident in advance or returned by a customer and they saved it instead of throw it out, Absolutely disgusting!. I was already going to return it but wanted to look inside and then found the buns wasn't even toasted. When I returned it and asked for a refund he came up to the register to do the refund for her because she didn't know how and he went right back to sandwich making and they took the sandwich and didn't throw it out, probably to save again for the next person. Stay away from this Wendy's unless you want a sandwich that someone returned and instead of throw it out they just saved it for the next person who ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. When you call the phone number listed on the receipt it says the number is disconnected so I just called corporate.
UPDATE 5-1-24 More health code violations. I came and ordered and while waiting in line an employee who reminded me of kid rock wearing glasses and a little facial hair around the chin and mustache came in the front door and walked behind the counter in one continued motion noticed the trash full by the sandwich maker and pushed it all the way down then jumped in grill and began making food, no gloves, no washing hands no anything, he was on the grill and helping out making food, as I write this review a girl with a headset went out her car for a smoke and a young African American with colorful hair in dreads went out to a red Chevy car and after about 5 minutes they both came back in and I watched him go back to the frier and jump back in no washing hands or anything, the girl disappeared from my view and it looks like she was working drive through. Do yourself a favor and eat at a cleaner place. These employees are constantly outside and going to their cars for 5 minutes at a time smoking and doing whatever they are doing then returning to make food without so much as even washing their hands or wearing any type of gloves. The last time I was here in April I noticed a lot of employee hangout in the parking lot in and out, in and out. What they seemed to be doing is when things slow down running outside and watching when customers start to pile up run back inside. THIS IS NOT HOW WENDY'S OR ANY RESTAURANT IS SUPPOSED TO OPERATE!. Management seems non existent. I will be calling corporate AGAIN!. (Well I was just about to hit send to finish and kid rock just went back outside bouning a...
Read moreBy far this is the best Wendy’s in the area, some others are absolutely terrible, see some of my other reviews on local Wendy’s and you’ll find out which ones I’m referring to. This Wendy’s restaurant is worth traveling to if you live on the outskirts of town. We ordered single cheeseburgers and chili, everything was perfect, just how it’s supposed to be, the buns were fresh and the lettuce and tomatoes tasted like they came right from the garden and the burgers were juicy, the staff was polite and professional, everything appeared clean, the one thing that comes to mind is they must have a great manager here at this location because not only was the food great but everything ran like clockwork, some fast food restaurants the staff seems awkward and untrained, especially at the drive through window, not here, I praise the staff and management here at this Wendy’s location for a job well done, they deserve a reward for being the best Wendy’s in the greater Akron area and I’ve probably eaten at most of them lol. Thank you Wendy’s, after visiting some of the other local Wendy’s restaurants I was about to give up on your chain, you’ve restored my faith that my favorite fast food restaurant can still serve the quality food that I...
Read moreThis place either needs to get new management or management needs to clean house and find new employees. When I go, 80% of the time, my food is wrong, or they straight up forget to give me an item. It's a regular thing. A few times it was at night so they closed the inside. So I have to now sit behind 7 cars to get back to the window to get it corrected. This is the only Wendy's I go to that I have to stop after getting my food, whether it's walk-in or drive-thru, and check to make sure that I've been given the right things. I just went today as I'm moving and have no food or dishes or anything in my home to make anything with and I get up to see a sign that says they are close. Some random guy that was there told me they were "closed because they were understaffed." I couldn't even read the hand written note due to the handwriting. And then an employee comes out to sit in the vehicle with the guy that told me this to have a cigarette like they were just having a slow night. I get it, fast food gets busy or things happen occasionally, it's usually no big deal to me. The staff there is nice and I've never had any issue on the customer service side. But other than that, it's pretty...
