This Salvi place is my to go spot for yummy salvi food!
The food here does take a while for you to get since it's made to order. So expect to wait a little while to get your fresh yummy food, Salvi food is made when you order it. I've tried different plates from here all very delicious, from the pupusas, yucca con chicharron to their sopas all on point! Their fried plantains (platanos fritos) B.O.M.B best I've tried so far, they almost melt in your mouth... yummy!
They have this plate called the people's breakfast which I do recommend, that will hit the spot. I do both eat there at the restaurant or takeout, the restaurant itself they keep it pretty clean. Customer service has been a hit or miss, sometimes they're nice with that welcoming attitude and sometimes not so good, regardless though food still comes out hot and fresh.
The restaurant is in a not so good area, you'll get lots of unhoused people which is the reason why I order to go now, wish this place was more in a visible spot it's easy to miss. Other than that food is 5 stars and heck yeah I'll keep...
Read moreThese people post up at the Barnes Park Farmers Market and for $7 a pupusa, "señora" shouldn't get mad when I'm asking for more curtido. When I asked her for more she took my bag and gave me another bag with less and and when I walked away she whispered something rude like "Ha, the other bag had more". Very spiteful and rude considering I was very respectful. It's like "Señora, why are you trying to piss someone off that just spent $40 on your establishment just to prove a point" ... So RUDE and I will never spend another penny here at this place. BTW... no one else was there, the pupusas are mid, and they probably would have tasted better if they had MORE CURTIDO the way me and my family like to eat them. If she's the owner thats too bad but if shes just the cook, I hope they have a talk with her. The tamales in the next tent are way yummy and the guy is super nice! The picture below is the tiny bag they gave me...
Read moreThis is a place not worth eve taking a look at. I went once and for some reason ended up going again, and the same trashy customer service, trying to overcharge, but foremost the food is entirely inedible. From a bitter spoiled curtido to watery and tasteless orange salsa, the Pupusas are not even worth mentioning in this place. You would guess that implying Pupusas in their name would make the owners want to offer quality food, but it is not at all. I am in the food business industry and I am happy when I see people striving for a successful business where they offer quality food and good service, but sad to say this place does not have either. It would be a waste of time, money, energy and a bitter moment to go through this so called...
