Chocolate Bash — Restaurant in Covina

I had been a loyal customer for a long time, but my recent experience was disappointing. I called to report potential food poisoning, and the employee dismissed my concern, advising me to “go to a doctor and get my stomach checked” before abruptly ending the call. When I called back the next day, the manager (Sarah) placed me on lengthy holds and demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism in addressing the issue. My friends and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. I highly recommend The Chocolate Bar in Ontario for much better service and quality.

There were only two makeups in total. The first was due to them using regular milk when asked for oat milk, despite me being lactose intolerant. The second time, the drink they remade was so poorly prepared that it was mushy, and I ended up sick and vomiting for two days. I ordered the Dubai shake and Chocolate bar. It took an hour for the delivery on Uber Eats and so by the time the order came the shake was melted down warm and I tried to taste it and it tasted foamy with hard pieces of chocolate stuck to the walls of the cup. As for the chocolate bar it was opened foil package which I don’t think the delivery person opened it I think they just don’t properly seal the chocolate bar. As for the taste, because I spent over $40 just for the Dubai shake and bar, was not what I paid for. The inner supposedly pistachio tasted like some hard waxy dry pieces that made it hard to swallow. Anyways I asked for a refund since I didn’t get to eat anything and they said my items didn’t qualify for a refund. Not sure how the moral is at this place but if their food is expensive and doesn’t taste very good and I’m assuming the comments about staff being rude might just be true. But yeah don’t try. I saw this new place open across the street from my house so i decided to try. Customer service sucks. The 3 people working there walked around behind the counter for a good 10 minutes before they even took my order and i was the only one there. I got myself a shake to try out. Why ask me what kind of milk i want when the shake tasted like water. It was nothing but ice. More chocolate on the cup than in the drink. I saw what kind of ice cream they put in there and i have better quality ice cream at home. If you can't get a shake right, i really don't want to try anything else.
