We decided to try out a new pizza place that took over the spot where a flower shop used to be. The transformation is impressive! The restaurant is clean and tidy, with some really cool artwork of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the DeLorean car from Back to the Future. They even have two arcade machines, adding a fun, retro vibe to the place. Now, onto the main event – the pizza! We ordered an Al Pastor Chicago-style deep dish pizza, and it was phenomenal! The flavors were unique and delicious. We also tried a caramel cookie for dessert, and it did not disappoint. One thing to note is that they get pretty busy, so expect to wait more than 30 minutes for your order. It's understandable since they make everything fresh as you order. Also, you place your order through a tablet they have there unless you're picking up, in which case a person will ring you up. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and we’re excited to go back and try more of their unique pizza flavors!

Pretty good pizza place with many different types of pizza. Not the usual pepperoni or different toppings, but special things like Al pastor or Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken Pizza. We called in to ask one of the workers to see if the pizza had certain allergens, and glad they were able to let us know that there wasn’t egg in the two pizzas we ordered, but didn’t know that the Al Pastor would be spicy. I think adding certain symbols on the menu, or asking the customer would definitely help, to make sure, not everyone has the same tolerance. We ordered the Taiwanese , Al Pastor Pizza, the elote tots and the BBQ Chicken Wings. The BBQ sauce was really tasty, but the chicken felt overcooked. It was quite nice to taste different types of specialty pizzas and overall we didn’t enjoy the food. The place is not that big, but it isn’t made for you to dine in. It is quite nice to have some arcade games as you wait, and we learned that this business does also have another location.

Another great contender in the pizza game here in Covina. They recently simplified their menu, so while some of my favorites are gone (I actually had way too many favorites!), they are offering a consistently terrific pizza! Tried their version of a Hawaiian, called "50 First Dates", that ups the ante with honey glazed pineapple, red onions, and cilantro on a NY style crust that's both crunchy and chewy in all the right spots. We also tried the chicken wings that are perfectly and lightly breaded for an amazing crunch in every bite. Their Buffalo sauce isn't too overpowering and their ranch is very creamy and tastes homemade! Plus they give you enough sauce to have with your pizza, so that's a cool bonus. All of their other pizzas are great too and you can't go wrong. They take great care and use only the best ingredients so give them a try the next time you are craving pizza, which should be now since you're reading about pizza.

I went to this place super excited, and was horribly let down !! Horribly horribly let down !! I went because I liked their “story” on instagram and the pizza looked good. Well the owner “middle aged man” seemed like a humble guy on his instagrams story but anyways we went his server and cashier were very nice , so the one thing that bothered us the most was they bring you out these paper thin plates(super thin paper plates) for wings and pizza right ? So the server brought out like 4-5 plates , but the “owner” himself came out from the kitchen and walked up to our table and said “you only need 2 of these right?” And took the rest of the plates his server had given us. I mean first of all it was the way he walked up and then he took the plates like it was a huge mistake they were being given to us after we’d spent almost 50 dollars for food !! I’m sorry but that’s really rude then on top of that the pizza was barely mediocre !! This place is all hyped up and there’s plenty other pizza spots that are way better than this place plus the owner of this place made it uncomfortable for me and my wife , I will never go back here ! Keep you paper plates . In a couple of words our experience was not good both suck the people and the food and it’s priced high !! No thanks !!. Sorry not sorry . I’ll take my...

Edit 01/14/2025: The sauce is back. While my prayers haven’t entirely been answered, the comeback from where I felt the store was 8 months ago is phenomenal. The quality and value in ingredients and craft has returned, though we are still missing the full sized tomatoes :,)

The new cookies are good af too. While I previously left 3/5⭐️ back in April, I’ve now upped my confidence in this pizza to 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Welcome back y’all

——————————————————————

My old review below, from April 2024:

They lost the sauce man, half a year ago the margaritas came with full sized tomatoes, you could buy an XL, and they had stromboli’s. Now the ingredients are chopped like a salsa, everything is more expensive but there’s no medium and xl anymore, and I can’t even place a phone takeout order

To be honest I could tolerate all the other changes if the pizza was still the same, I became converted to the Rose City gospel quickly last year, but my faith is fleeting with these changes. :(

I remember when y’all were selling the delivery bag for discounted large and xls and knew something wasn’t right, it’s sad to see things...

The good: We tried the Al pastor pizza and the birria pizza. Both were incredibly well done, and left me wishing they had a giant pizza option. The consumme that came with the birria pizza was super tasty also. The food was the only real highlight here. The decor is cool and it feels like a fun neighborhood pizza shop.. The bad: canned soda ($2.50 a can i think? ), and water was served in tiny cups with no ice (this is key when you get to the next part) that the employees had to get for you, and with how busy they were it was problematic. An ice water dispenser would have solved this. Also, guy who brought our pizza asked if we wanted pepper flakes and parmesan cheese, then had to go retrieve it which took a bit. The ugly: thermostat on the wall showed 90 degrees, and we were sweating the entire time. AC was definitely on, you could feel it in a few spots in the joint, but no curtains or blinds and huge windows made it roasting in there.

Might go back on a cooler day to try another specialty pizza, but the little things start to add up to a not so...
