I will never eat here again! My husband and I wanted to try something different so we stopped here. From the moment of entering we almost walked out. I approached the counter and asked, "should I seat myself or wait to be seated?" The young lady behind the counter said, "no, no, no. You pay first.". So I say okay. I looked on the counter and said is this the menu. She replied yeah. So my husband asked what comes with catfish poboy? She said... nothing. I said what? She said yeah. Then she said we have a lunch deal. You get a 6" sub with fries. So I said okay. Give me one catfish and one shrimp. She said what do you want to drink. I said two teas. She put the glasses on the counter and took my card. I saw the total and went into shock. It was $28.25. Then they suggest the tip upfront. I told her I will give my tip after my meal. I asked what the extra charge was on my ticket. She says it is a fee for using my debit card. I was like whatever. So we take out little order number stick it on our table and go to fix our own drinks. I get the tea and it is nothing but water. I tell the waitress it is out. She says you have to choose which on you want first. I said... Yeah, I know, I did that. So she goes ahead and does it as well. She says it is out. I think to myself. Wow! Really. Anyways, she says I am going to get some. Well I wait and wait. Still no tea. My food come out and still no tea. I say to her... Where is the tea? So I wait and we share a soda beverage. My shrimp poboy was plentiful, but my husband's catfish was skimpy. When the waitress finally brings our tea. We were about a 1/4 of the way into our sanwhiches. Against my husband's advise. I just had to say something. I ask her. .. I say excuse me, I hate to do this, but for $28. This is ridiculous. I said look at his poboy... For $28 I would think you would get enough fish to cover the bread. We ordered his dressed. It was loaded down with lettuce... Just these thin about 4" pieces of fish. She says let me see what I can do. We started eating and no waitress . I asked another waitress what happened to her. So about 10 minutes the cook comes out. We go thru this same conversation... She says that is all we put on a 6". 2 pieces. I said to her.... This is ridiculous. For $28 I get about 20 French fries between the both of us and the pitiful looking fish strips. I had a good portion of shrimp. But overall disappointing. So she says, she is sorry that the waitress is on the phone with the owner. So, we eat and wait we are almost finished... No waitress. So I ask another waitress. She said I'll check. We are finished with our meal and ready to leave. So ask the young girl at the counter. What did the waitress find out? She said, I don't know what you are talking about? I had to go thru the whole thing again. She said let me check. She goes in the back with the MIA waitress. She comes back and says. Well, that is just the way it comes, but I am waiting for the owner to call. I said, are you kidding me. Am I supposed to sit here and wait for the owner to call. I finally said. Just forget it. I will not be back. This was a joke. The bread was stale. The shrimp was big and pretty, but no flavor and the fish. Well you've heard my story... You decide for yourself. For us. They will not get another...
Read moreEverything about this place is amazing! From the eye catching building to the restroom that is decorated nicely with a wonderful smell! The staff are super sweet and actually waited on us to order(no pun intended lol), making sure I understood what I was buying. When you walk into the restaurant you see all of these plates that they have made just so the customers know what they’re ordering! Now for the whole reason you clicked on my review. The food was amazing to say the least!! The spinach artichoke dip was delightful. The chips were fresh and slightly sprinkled with a nice bayou seasoning. The Meal box (I believe that’s what it’s called) came with a pound of crawfish, corn and potatoes. I got mine with extra spice. The crawfish was cooked good with a great flavor. The main boil I got was made with essentially a crack sauce!! The flavors danced around in my mouth. The only words I can use to describe it as is “Jesus’s Last Super”! The snow crab was cooked perfectly! Literally melted in my mouth!! I’m not even exaggerating I’d literally sell my brother for another pound! We also had the Redfish with crawfish sauce (it has a specific name but I’m literally in a food coma as I am writing this) over pasta. The red fish was perfectly cooked where it melted in my mouth. It was definitely my favorite. I will definitely be returning in the near future. If only they had a restaurant in Texas! I am not exaggerating when I say this is a MUST STOP on the list while traveling...
Read moreTried for the first time, was really hoping for something nice. Looked online was shown a nice picture of a seafood boil, and the boiled shrimp. Was disappointed to say the least. The picture and description were misleading. They advertise XL Gulf Shrimp, the pics show head on nice size shrimp. Yet I receive frozen pre peeled shrimp definitely not xl gulf shrimp. These were pre peeled in a factory as half of them were just mangled mess of shell smashed into the meat of the shrimp, as you would get from the frozen section at Walmart. The snow crab clusters were ok, smaller size snow crab for sure. but they did make up for the lack of not have 2 clusters i paid for in the boil, they threw in a couple more shoulders to make up for the lack of second cluster. But what was most disappointing was the seasoning and flavor of the boil, being in South East LA I was expecting a nice flavor and taste from this boil. Well it looked good but was just very mute. The kids Catfish and Fries were ok, The red beans were decent, the sausage was decent. Rest was all very...
