I wanted to try this place because they have turkey burgers(not many places do so I was very happy about that). Read through all of the reviews to try to get a feel for the place before going. Saw the review posted by Bigboss Hog from 5 months ago but decided to give them a try anyway because the owner took the time to respond back with graciousness and kindness. Based on my own experience, I'd have to agree 100% with Bigboss Hog's review because I experienced the same thing myself today; the only difference being that that reviewer at least made it as far as getting served drinks. I started to suspect that all might not go as well as I'd hoped when the hostess greeted us with a very dry, disinterested hello and the mannerism from the person who seated us gave me the impression that they'd rather be doing anything else than seating us at this restaurant. Not looking for a big song and dance number while being seated nor an overly enthusiastic hello but I was expecting a little more than what was received. How you're greeted and seated does matter, so the better it goes the better the impression. So, we're seated and we wait and wait and wait...no one comes to our table. I see waitresses walking around serving people, refilling drinks, checking on customers. Crickets at our table, no one comes up to say anything at all even if only to say "hey, I see you guys have been sitting here, someone will be with you as soon as possible." NOTHING. I still decide to wait because it's kinda busy so I'm letting patience be my guide. Then I start to see people who have come in after us being greeted, seated, acknowledged and getting their drink orders taken by waitresses who had yet to stop at my table. So at that point, not only is my patience out of the door but so are we. Just want to note that I did get an enthusiastic thanks for coming and have a good day response when I returned the menus to the greeter and walked out of the door. I didn't say anything to keep from saying something unkind. Let me say that I am a very patient person. I give all people/places the benefit of a doubt and will believe the best before I believe the worst, hence me deciding to come after reading the negative reviews. I am aware that restaurants in the area have been hit hard due to Covid, back to back hurricanes, staffing shortages, etc.; I went to Mugshots knowing all of this so I was not expecting speedy service that's why I was patient from the start. But I was expecting to be treated the same as any other customer in that restaurant and,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate to initial review: I revisited this establishment only to be greatly disappointed and completely put off by the food and the owners overall lack of interest in making good on the promise of a better dining experience. I took my family to dine on a late Saturday night and the restaurant seemed to be operating pretty good, there were only two other tables besides ours and one was actually leaving. We ordered the same things we had at our last visit but the food turned out to be inedible. So yes chicken wings were still very good but the chicken fried steak was beyond disgusting. The first time we ordered it was like butter, and seasoned well. This time I guess they ran out of the meat because they substituted a hard, over fried, dripping in oil burger patty instead. We couldn't even cut into it. The server was extremely nice and we didn't want to make him feel like it was his fault, and decided to just take it to go to feed to our pigs. Upon opening the take out box the next morning we removed the breading which was falling apart anyway. It was then that we noticed we had been served left over burgers instead of the steak we paid for. I was really angry at this point and attempted to reach out to the owner by email but I never got a response. I then thought to reach out via the google review page and was told by the owner that they use burger patties for the chicken fried steak. He completely ignored the fact that I had ordered this exact same thing previously and it was not a burger with grill marks on it. He also said that they are training new kitchen staff and these things will happen. I'm sorry, but that's not my problem. I paid over $100 for that meal plus a very nice tip. It should have been freaking delicious and prepared perfectly. No substitutions should have been made by the kitchen and we should have been told they ran out of a particular item so we could order something else. I was not offered a refund or any type of replacement meal on a future visit. Which is totally ok now, because there is no way I would ever return to eat there. I don't trust how they prepare food and there are plenty of other local restaurants doing right by their customers.
Honey chicken wings are the best I ever had. The rest of the food is kind of ok. Atmosphere is comfortable and servers are very attentive. Will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas craving a really good burger, saw reviews so figured why not give them a go. I regret that decision.
Firstly, our server approached our booth and never once properly greeted us, simply asked what we wanted to drink, and walked off.
When our app arrived, it was for lack of better phrasing, tossed on the table with app plates.
On to the burgersā¦we could taste nothing but char because the grill was most likely not clean when our food was prepared. I couldnāt taste the cheese, onion, tomato, pickles, or Mayoā¦..just charā¦
The only time our server smiled, or showed an ounce of personality, was when it was time to payā¦.
Unacceptable all around, and never againā¦a waste of my time but most importantly, my hard earned money.
Didnāt bother to ask for management, because one was never seenā¦.and based off of staff interactions and their lack of personality, I figured Iād be wasting my timeā¦.
**Feb 1, 2023 UPDATE;
I still have yet to hear from anyone at store or district level of management. I did what was asked of me, and sent in an email with my contact information. Not a single phone call, email, nor text, apologizing for anything.
Did I mention that I was sick the following day, and the day after that?! I was sent home from work because I was vomiting and having bad cramping.
**Feb 27, 2023 update

Posted update the first of February, and received another email stating that the restaurant management would reach out to meā¦.Iām...
