Thai Spice — Restaurant in Louisiana

Updated 8/17/25: I got the pad see ew (same dish I always get) and it had what looked like broken pieces of a green ceramic dish in it. I took pictures and went to the restaurant the next day to show the owner (new management) and he said it was shells from mussels. Firstly, I didn’t order a dish with mussels so even if it was that it should have been in my food. Secondly, it’s hard to mistake a ceramic dish for mussel shells. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 4 years and never had a problem with the food or customer service. The guy was nice about it but I expected at least an apology. Instead he said customers sometimes try to get over. Insinuating I made it up to get something for free. That was it for me even though he told me if I ever saw something like that again to come back the same day and he would make it right. “I’m telling you about it now, the next day not next week.” It should’ve been made right then not when it happens again. Lack of proper customer service can really affect a business. And it’s sad because the food tastes good.

We went there after the historic snow fall . Some reason Only one server and I assume only 1 kitchen staff on Saturday's .maybe some crew did not show up. Waitress is Great smilling she's accommodating everyone even they got busy have 5 tables plus 1 long table some birthday or something total six table plus she have takeout orders .so she indeed busy and hard working deserve recognition. I have the stars because of her . -ordered papaya salad said medium spicy but the mild for them are So much! like maybe they put 6 to 8 hot chili 🌶 it's very good but too much chili for me . ordered "crispy noodle" it was Burnt and very salty! I'm not a fan of it .I ordered it to another restaurant so I'm very familiar with it . ordered thai fried rice and was usual ones with much soy sauce . But like I said They look like short on Staff maybe they only 2 and they have to do everything .The dining we tought for 30-45 mins become...

Not impressed. Clean bright decor, no wait, quick service from kitchen. Server so-so. Prices average, but portion size smaller than average.

Steamed dumplings ok but lacked flavor, and the dipping sauce was overly sweet. Pad Thai was also too sweet and soupy, but I did like the heavy crushed peanuts (no bean sprouts or cilantro, points off). Pad See Yew fair, although good amount of meat. Basil Beef looked good but also lacked. I'm just surprised that a restaurant with the word "Spice" in the title would have such weak dishes within a genre usually known for intense flavors.
