I sadly left feeling ripped off and scammed after my visit at Cranbury Pizza. I ordered food and was charged way more then I expected to be. When I asked the gentlemen who rung me up if he could please double check and make sure I was charged correctly he assured me I was. I asked for the receipt and watched him crumble it up, throw it in the garbage and said he no longer had it. I checked the pricing on the menu and realized I was definitely overcharged and therefore spoke to the same gentlemen again. He informed me that the "computer system has different prices". He said this to me twice. I was confused so he began to enter my order in the computer to "show me". The prices were not different. The prices were the same ones I saw in the menu and my bill only came to $41. Again I was confused, why was I charged $50? When I asked him that, he said "oh I added money on for a table service fee". Adding extra money onto my bill without my permission? With out telling me? If I would have known that I would have just sat at a table and been waited on instead.

There were no signs or notes in the menu regarding this almost $10 additional fee nor was I told I would be charged extra money. Also, if this were the case, why not just say that from the beginning when I originally questioned the bill? Why say the bill was right? Or that the computer "charges higher prices".

Overall I felt the behavior of this man was very disappointing, shady and sneaky. I feel taken advantage of and ripped off. If you do plan on going here I highly suggest double checking your receipt- that is if you can get ahold of it before...

Our child is on the Autism Spectrum, so we called ahead for reservations and were told that they don’t take any. Fine; we decided to take our chances at showing up and getting a table outside. There weren’t any tables available, so I turned to my husband and said: “It’s okay. Let’s just go somewhere else.”

We noticed a big table that had been set for 10 people and I said to the owner of the restaurant: “Excuse me, but we had actually called for a reservation and were told you don’t take any.” To which he replied: “We don’t.” I asked: “Is it possible to split this table?” And he said: “No, I’m holding this for a group of 10.” Come again? “I thought you said you don’t take reservations?”

The rest of our family happened to show up at that moment, and the owner claimed to my parents that he had said he would have a table ready in 5 minutes but I had told him I wasn’t willing to wait. This was a blatant lie, but there was no point in arguing any further with a person who was unwilling to serve us. As we were leaving, the owner continued to antagonize us claiming I had refused to wait for a table and had told him I was going somewhere else. I finally turned around and said: “Sir, my son is on the Autism Spectrum and for his safety [because he would elope if he became any more dysregulated], I told my husband that we should just go somewhere else. I wasn’t even...

This place may have good food but it does not know how to run itself. Their website directs you to order online (when you call in their website it says - order online it is faster). Then the return email says the order will be ready between an allotted time. I came for the food in the allotted time, but it was not ready. I asked when it would be ready and one person said “5 - 10 minutes.” Then I walked away, down the pretty streets, bought some chocolate, and came back, but it was still not ready. Then I went out to buy some beer to go with the food. And when I came back, it was still not ready. Then I asked when it will be ready, and they said “it is not even close to be ready.” Then I asked to speak to the manager, and he tells me- “we never said it would be ready.” I showed him the email and he tells me- “I don’t run that - we never said it was ready.” Then he says, “why didn’t you call and place the order.”

Complete incompetence. No accountability for error. Extremely poor management and customer service. I know they were busy but to say that the error is mine is beyond stupidity and worse than denial. It’s malevolence.

And they forgot my side salad!

Go elsewhere if you value owners that care about...

No waitress/waiter service for about a week or two, but you can eat inside right now for lunch only. Dinner is take out only for now during the so-called soft opening. (Will open soon for dinning in during dinner, as well.) There's been an outpouring of community support for the reopening, for sure. Reopened today, after a fire in its old building forced a closure that extended nine months. Patrons are loving the larger, modernized, 2,000 square foot restaurant. While established for about two decades, owner Joe Miller, said: “We are as efficient as you can get for 2021,” of the new ovens and other equipment that look so awesome. "It's all top of the line now." Lots of seating upstairs and some downstairs when you walk in. Hot spot in downtown Cranbury, right now, as people have been anticipating the relaunch. And the weather is complimentary! Enjoy your meal.
