Calabria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Cranford

(Calabria Tony had good food and service in the past.) On 5/4/22 ordered two pizza pies they were awful. On 5/5/22 I ordered a Ham Sub, Provolone Cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, Mayo and splash of oil & vinegar. We asked for extra ham even if it cost extra. I Came home with the sub one slice of ham ONE SLICE! $12.00 I was fit to be tied. Eating lettuce, I brought it back. I was very upset. It was closing time 930pm no customers. Black man said to me if you raise your voice, I'm not helping you. Instead of saying I apologize. He took my sub in the back they looked at it. The guy who made the sub was scratching his chin like "what should I do" as the black man was telling him it has one slice of ham. Watching this for a few minutes. I got frustrated. I told them keep the sub and the $12.00 Black man said OK thank you. Thats when I really made my mind up that I'm Done with them. Sad thing is Calabria I loved Calabria they fed me 3 times a week sometimes more lunches and dinners. This place changed...

I would have to agree with Matt. The owner definitely has an attitude problem. We ordered food and took it to go. They did not give us the pizza we ordered so when I called back to get the pizza I was told it was my fault and that it was not their responsibility. He did this with a not so nice demeanor. I have been going there since I was a child when they used to be across the street. I do not know if business is bad but you do not treat the customers like that. I left over 20% on the tip and I am wondering if I should take it back. Now, I have to find another Italian restaurant...So sad. If you do go, make sure you open the brown paper bags which are stapled shut and check to see if everything is in there as if this was a fast-food joint...

I recently dined at Calabria pizzeria and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The pizza was delicious, with a thin crust that was perfectly crispy and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Jamie the pizza guy and Joey(Owner) both are nice and friendly. They also offered a variety of other menu options, including appetizers and salads, all of which were equally delicious.
