Mizu Sushi — Restaurant in Cranford

Ordered from Mizu tonight! The ordering experience went well The order consisted of: 1 shrimp tempura roll 1 california roll 2 pieces of Eel sushi 2 pieces of tuna sushi 2 pieces of salmon sushi 2 pieces of king salmon sushi 2 pieces of regular sushi 1 order if shrimp gyoza

The order arrived in amazing time! Pleased about that The Eel sushi was absolutely outstanding!! The Shrimp gyoza incredible!!! Shrimp tempura amazing!

However Unfortunately The salmon sushi and tuna sushi was absolutely disgusting ! My friend and I were barely able to eat 1 piece before we spit it out! The texture was comparable to slimy snail and the taste was awful almost tasted rotten! Definitely didn't taste fresh and my friend and I threw it all away! Also the fish to rice ratio made no sense! Furthermore later on in the night i had a pretty bad stomach ache too.

Unfortunate especially since I know local businesses need all the help they can get

If you order from here stay away from the sushi pieces!!!

I have just received a semi harassing phone call from an employee who thought that I wrote a "bad" review on here, after I just ordered food. After reviewing the "bad" reviews, I feel like coincidentally, there was a review that was written that mirrors my experience on the phone with "inconsistent policies". I did not appreciate receiving such a phone call, knowing that I did not write such a review, and after I just received my food and given a 20% tip!! The worst part is, I just lost my appetite. I like the food here, but unfortunately, after this phone call, I will not be ordering from here again. No one should ever receive an accusatory phone call like that ever! My number is not to be used for such things. Sorry Mizu, you just lost a loyal customer.

I was driving around Cranford looking for another sushi place when I drove past Mizu and decided to give it a try. Good size and not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I was immediately seated and, after reviewing the menu, decided on an avocado salad appetizer which was amazing! They give a very generous portion of avocado over mixed greens and, topped with ginger dressing, this dish is a must try! I selected the dragon roll which was presented well but I wasn't blown away by the taste. I would try a different roll next time. Lots of sushi choices. The green tea tempura ice cream was very good!
