The business has been under a 97 day boycott, which has reached 537 people, for allowing employee Amanda (short girl with red hair) to create an volatile, harmful, racist, threatening, and traumatic environment for many months affecting at least 62 adults, children, and families.
Terminating the employee is only the beginning. As we approach 100 days we will continue to hold the ownership and management completely responsible for their lack of actions against employee Amanda. Lack of actions by ownership and management has subjected at least 62 adults and children, over a period of 6 months, to verbal attacks, extreme bullying, threats to call police, and police called when people simply argued or disagreed, racism and bigotry, loud profane language, no regard for children, families, or others in the business at the time.
We have heard testimonies from customers and employees confirming this. These incidents happened 6 times while our legal representatives were there as customers. Customers and employees declined to take legal action against the business generally saying "big business always wins".
But they can't stop a boycott. We are proud of the people who started a boycott of this business which is one of the only effective ways to force a business to be held accountable for its tolerance of these actions by any employees. The boycott symbolizes the zero tolerance belief of customers and other employees against threats, racism, bigotry, loud profane language, verbal abuse, and belittling of people.
This has more significance than ever now. The people will boycott any businesses until there is absolutely no hate from employees. Absolutely no reason for anyone to feel threatened. Absolutely no reason for adults, children, or families to feel unsafe or unwanted. Absolutely no reason for anyone to hear profane language or be bullied by anyone.
The ownership and management must be held completely accountable for these actions and substantially raise their standards for employment.
Read moreI live in Providence but come to Cranston Dunkin because its open 24 hours because I work late and sometimes want late night snack or some coffee! Although there is a 24 hour Dunkin in Providence (the one in Eagle Square) I don't like going to that one because of rude and careless employees! One bad experience I had at Eagle Square Dunkin is I had ordered a bagel toasted and realized how hard it was to bite into it! what the employee did was put the bagel in the small oven they have in there instead of the toaster, so i went back and ask nicely to put in the toaster and she said its shut down and that there cleaning so i understood and came back few days later after work, and ordered a bagel and gave her special instructions to put in the toaster and not the oven, and she said the toaster is down! and she said she's only doing drinks and donuts! so i drove off! until I came to this one in Cranston- let me tell you- the employees are very nice! especially the ones that work 3rd shift- my favorite is the mother and daughter that work there! Even though its 3rd shift and its late out! they keep smile on their face! They serve us very well! I will always be coming to this one instead of the one on Eagle...
