1st impressions, the place is clean and the staff are polite. The pizza on the other hand has pros and cons. The dough is slightly above average. I can tell it's been proofed for a short period of time. Although, I could not find any flavor that would make it stand out. They also sheet and cook their pies in a pan. I'll be honest it's not my favorite method of cooking pizzas. However, it does provide a consistent and speedy outcome for customers.
What's on top. For the record, I only ordered cheese for a baseline experience. The sauce experience was lacking. I felt a combination of a lack of pizza sauce and any distinct flavor addition. So that's a definite negative. On the other hand these guys cheese well! Any cheesehead will appreciate both the quality and amount of cheese applied. Kudos for that Sako's.
In all, I felt the price was on par. I would consider this an above average easy access location with room for improvement. They are still new. I plan to give them a second shot in the upcoming months. Thanks for the...
Read moreWe moved away from Cranston a few years ago, and we still think about the great food and service that this establishment provides. Giving Sakos only 5 stars feels wrong, this restaurant is guaranteed to knock your socks off and give your taste buds an expirence that quite simply can't be matched. We have yet to find anything that even remotely matches the unrelenting onslaught of flavor that their food provides. The delivery people are prompt and always very friendly. The experience overall just can't be beat. This review may sound a little over the top and you the reader may think I'm exaggerating, but that couldn't further from the truth. Please Sakos, if you decide to open another location, consider coming 20 minutes north to the town of Smithfield! I know you would have at least one very loyal customer. I would probably order take out everyday for at least six weeks straight....
Read moreI'm a pizza guy. I mean I literally make pizza for a living but I'm also a pizza "connoisseur" and always love to try a new pie. As far as this place, as Randy Jackson would say, it's a no for me dog. I'm not sure if these reviews are fake or if people just don't know good pizza anymore. This place just seems like a chain even though it's not. I got a small cheese and pep just to try. The dough was reminiscent to that of pizza hut or papa johns, no crisp to it, just soggy. The cheese was extremely skimpy and the pepperoni was the cheap stuff. Not to mention the sauce tasted canned, it literally had a metallic taste. I think at this point people must just review places based on how new, bright and shiny they are. There is much better pizza in Cranston than this. Big Cheese, Catanzaros and Albertinos all...
