The only thing that was good was the Cracker Barrel was the wait staff they was awesome & the younger young lady that was at the front counter that was put back some lil dresses that I picked before we sat down . I ordered the broccoli cheese special for that day . First they were not at all busy in any way . My order was long and nasty hair that was not on top of my meal it was intertwined in the casserole I pulled it out . The server said she was Sorry she could get me a new one . First why would I want another one when I pulled hair from the first one . Mr Obvious. Lil humourous so I got something cuz I felt pressured to get something. That came but needless to say I lost my appetite at that point so did my mom & son . So a manager was never notified & she never came over to the table . Again not busy reminding you . Then my Uncle didn't eat and picked up the tab . Because there were 3 different servers that helped us we left a $30.00 tip for all 3 ladies's $10.00 for each of them on a $50.00 total in bill because not one thing was comped or offered to anybody in my party. & I forgot the first thing that happened after my party sat down . 3 of the 4 sets of silverware had literally dried hard food & I don't believe it had been polished ever . I had the 2 nd server brought new silverware & a cup of soda water extra napkins. & I polished it myself . The reason I know it isn't polished is the first server told me they didn't carry soda water & I explained that it is on their soda machine. She informed me that it is not on theirs . Lol more humorous moments. Then we were purchasing the dresses we saw different sell items needless to say she & I purchased $200.00 in sells the younger lady was helpful , polite , very respectful towards my mother . The other older woman snapped twice at my mother & was disrespectful & down right rude to her . I am almost 50 & my mother is in her 80s but regardless she was horrible . She shouldn't be up front period because if she snapped & got rude with my mom she has done it to others . & Then like I said before 1- not busy , the young lady also told here that we already paid ( my uncle did ) so no we did not have a receipt but the young lady knew that is why she told the older lady that they paid . When the older lady got rude with my mother again I went & had the hostess get the Manager to explain that I received better food , clean silverware , & whoever is in the country store at Cracker Barrel was always helpful , respectful, courteous , & very delightful . The numerous times that I have dined North , South , & the store off of 70 east off Post Road that it was by far the better Cracker Barrel than one in Crawfordsville. She acted like it was not a big thing I left . So if anyone is traveling , or should be at this location don't stop by is my suggestion you will get cleanliness , possible better food , & an individuals that gives you the COMMON COURTESY that YOURSELF GIVES INDIVIDUALS & SHOULD RECEIVE IN RETURN . THE BEST SERVICE BY FAR OFF POST ROAD . THANK YOU I WILL NEVER EVER DINE IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT ANYTIME I AM IN CRAWFORDSVILLE. DID THE PANDEMIC OR DOES THAT MEAN YOU EITHER KNOW OR NOT ABOUT BEING OR AT LEAST ACT HOSPITABLE . ...
Read moreReply to knowing customers by their name . First of all when you have a regular number of customers . Of course anyone that interacts with someone frequently. You will learn them by name , what they order , what they drink . So that is not a great hard task . The task at hand is the cleanliness of silverware . When you have 3 out of 4 silverware sets with dried caked food from past customers. That is 3 out of 4 & the silverware don't need to be soaked in soda water & polished by far at least if you want it to look clean once a week but really every time the server rolls up there amount of silverware each individual is required to roll for their shift . Without polishing let's not forget the fact 3 out of 4 sets had dried food . That was clearly obvious to anyone that has the eye site to see & if you were unable to see it . They could definitely feel the dried food that was on them . Than to receive your food & long hair to be imbedded in your casserole & not wonder why that customer was grossed out . I am a Google Guide & I go out to eat regularly. This was my experience when my family dined at your place of employment at Cracker Barrel at this location . This was the first time at any other Cracker Barrel that I have had such a horrible experience with silverware & that was ordered . So I have had the wrong orders , forgot the item , or under cooked or overcooked at other Cracker Barrel as well as other restaurants they fix it no more is said . But remember I the customer polished her own silverware & I made no big deal of the silverware. Polished it no big deal . It was the point where my party of 4 3 of them received dirty silverware , hair that was shown to the servers , & to put icing on the cake . Let's not forget the older lady that kept well twice getting snappy with my mother because as far as I know I just didn't want to check the price . Whatever the reasons as Google Guide they want your total honesty . The servers were awesome & friendly . The young lady that was put back behind her counter to hold for me before we sat down to eat . She was very friendly . But being friendly & knowing a regular & knowing each other's names . It is a far cry from cleanliness & the food that is served to a customer . My Uncle & Family live in Crawfordsville he knew a server . Sorry that you did not like the honest review that your store received . But I was speaking the truth & with the food $30 tip that we left $10 for each server for $50 food bill plus spent $200 in the country store. So anyone or myself was not there for free food nor did we receive anything for inconvenience . The bottom line is this we spent a lot of money plus tip . As a passing through your town I expect at least not to have any hair in or on my food & clean silverware to eat with . As a patron I should most for sure expect to receive that . Regardless of the money we spent . Thank you in advance Sincerely M. R. Scott P.S. The honest truth & opinion is sometimes not always welcomed by people . But I didn't only post cuz I am Google Guide but maybe your establishment as well as yourself can make...
Read moreI donât like to leave negative reviews but we had the worst service and food here. The hostesses argued about where to seat us upon arrival. They were discussing which waitress would be able to handle a four top. Finally settled on a waitress and a zone. They seated us and then we sat for 15+ minutes for a server to come get our drink order. A server came and let us know promptly that she should even be waiting us but our waitress was across the store freaking out and having a bad day. She proceeded to take our order and one of the plates was to be a bacon cheeseburger, plain, with fries and an extra side of bacon. Finally, about 40 minutes later, our waitress brought our food out and pointed out that the extra bacon was placed on my daughterâs sandwich and not put on the plate as a side. She left to get my husband a drink refill and while away we discovered that there was only two slices of bacon on her sandwich. When the waitress returned with his tea we asked asked her if the extra bacon was indeed on the sandwich because there was only two slices on there and I donât want to get charged for something I didnât receive. She said the extra bacon was on the sandwich. My husband asked how many slices of bacon were supposed to be on a bacon cheeseburger and she told us two. So we showed her that there was only two pieces on the sandwich and that is fine but we just donât want to pay extra money for something we didnât get. She rolled her eyes at me and became combative and then resulted in telling us it was the kitchenâs fault and that they have been making her mad all day. She left and never came back to our table to check on us. Will not return to this...
