We walked in at 7:30 pm and heard the staff say"are you kidding me"? Then we realized that they closed at 8. So I guess the staff was upset that they had to serve us. Close at 7:30 then if that is when you want to stop working. Then after we sat down the waitress asked what drinks we wanted. She said I want to hurry and get your orders in before they shut the grill off. So we felt like we were a nuisance to them. The food was decent. We felt like we had to rush because the staff kept staring at us. Then they would vacuum around us and eventually shut the music off. There were three other groups of people there also. We asked for a refill and had to ask a second time to actually get it. Then while still eating, the waitress gave us our bill and did not ask if we wanted anything else. Then we realized they charged us for an extra drink that we did not order. While explaining this to the waitresss, the other two staff members were making rude snotty faces at each other directed towards us. Then we had to wait for them to unlock the door because they locked both doors on each side because they were in such a hurry to leave. I'm sure they were trying to rudely show us that we should have never came. I would assume that it's illegal to lock the doors while the customers are still in the building. We've lived in this town for two years and finally tried to eat here and this is how we were treated!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a last minute decision and recommendation by a local cousin, our family gathered here after a burial for lunch. Staff was very accommodating to our large group and I donāt recall anyoneās order being wrong. Unordered the BLT with extra bacon and fries, and it did not disappoint! Mother had the fried fish (haddock, I believe) and shared a piece with me. Oh my! A large portion and quite delicious. Mother and Uncle had a large slice of pumpkin pie for dessert. Everyone ate their fill and left happy. Some of us purchased sweets from the counter at checkout. Mother bought what looked like whoopie pies in chocolate and banana. I brought home two containers of fudge for my husband - peanut butter and chocolate walnut. This place is definitely a local favorite, and I highly recommend it to those...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe haven't been here for several years so we thought we'd give this place another try since its local. Seriously this place has never changed except for our waitress (She was exceptional) and the prices. My Husband and I had breakfast. The food was quick to get to the table but the quality was poor. The hash browns were rehydrated potatoes and tasted old. The eggs were done right and were satisfying but this is not the place for a good cup of coffee. It was definitely of the lowest quality. I had ham and my husband had sausage, the portions were of nice size but not great flavor. The restaurant was very quiet except for the lady talking behind us. A little music softly playing would...
