I'm a returning pokemon collector. Last time I collected cards was in elementary school now I'm in my 30s. Logan and Riley (apologies if it's misspelled), definitely assisted me and running me up to speed with today's pokemon collecting trend. It was the 151 sv that brought me back. They had a lot of vintage and new pokemon singles to choose from. They were very courteous and patient. Any PSA card that I wanted to see in the glass display they let me look at it in hand. And definitely didn't rush me into it. I think I had too much fun there as I did some damage, no regrets, though. They also got me signed up for the points rewards and gave me info on grading services as well. They also plugged me with info from card pop 1 ( I went there right after as well). I definitely got my dark charzard and fossil zapdos (it was stolen back in elementary school) and it was awesome as f* to see it again in real life. Also picked up some singles to complete my sv 151. Also treated myself to a PSA 10 Blastoise celebrations.
Other than that, my uncle loved their selections of sodas and other vintage cards. Great place and will visit often whenever I make my travel from chicago!
Update: 5 OCT 2024 got there again, and Riley and Chris are always helpful as usual. I was asking them if there was a company that would slab custom cards, long story short, I was surprised that they have an in-house slabbing service. I'm definitely planning to make a trip to give that service a try. Until then, thank you for the assist! I completed my SV:151 set. The charizard sir was legit the last card I needed!! Other cards I took because why not have another charmander and charmeleon. The pidgeot was nostalgic, and the lugia art caught...
Read moreJan 19th, 2025: Dropped in for the first time today just to check some pokemon cards out. Was pleasantly surprised by the selection of new cards on display, as well as graded cards and older expansions. There's also a large selection of other cards like Magic, Anime Cards, and Sports Cards.
Chris was a great help with some questions I had about graded cards and was really enjoyable to talk to while looking around.
Highly recommend stopping by if you're interested in any sort of trading card game
April 18th, 2025: Stopped by again today to look through some Pokemon single cards. Bryce and Taylor helped me a ton as I looked through a bunch of cards. Both of them kept the cards I picked out nice and organized off to the side and were a great pleasure to talk with while doing so.
No matter what brings you to the store, it's a guarantee that somebody there is ready to help you and make conversation with. Can't...
Read moreI had zero experience with selling vintage Pokémon cards. I had visited a couple other stores who were basically not willing to help me understand if I had any cards of value. I was basically told they would only look at up to 30 cards that I choose and it would take a couple hours and they would give no information written. I decided they were not the best option. So back to seeking information i came across Card Pop 2. I spoke with Dustin and told him what I was trying to do. He was beyond helpful told me if I came in he could evaluate what I had and give me some direction. WOW, upon my arrival I was met with kindness and Dustin and the other 2 employees went above and beyond to help me. They even pulled out the better cards and put them in sleeves. Anyone looking for and honest opinion I w I uld highly recommend Card Pop...
