Just had lunch here..... walked in the special on the board read Peppers Burrito $2. It was written more like Peppers $2.00 Burrito- When the waiter came to the table I asked if the board said "Peppers Burrito $2.00" he said let me go check. Walked to the front and came back and said yes $2.00. Mind you I had 2 other people at the table that heard this exchange. Only one of them saw the board and questioned how they were making money on it. But since it was a special that's how they were getting people in and would make it up with the alcohol. So I ordered 2 and got grilled chicken instead of shredded because all shredded chicken is dry and tasteless. I expected an upcharge for the grilled chicken. The bill comes and it's $34!!! I of course questioned this and he attempted to explain that it was $2.00 off the $14 price. I contested this and walked to the board were it still read $2.00 Burrito. The person at the register said it was$2.00 Off. I again contested that's not how it reads and asked a random patron at the counter what she thought it said. She agreed with me that it looked like Peppers Burrito $2.00. I do understand what they were attempting but that it was poorly executed and very very misleading. They would not fix the ticket and honor their mistake. I was going to take a photo but by the time I got back they had added the word OFF. Horrible visit. And the refried beans...

The food. Just subpar I hate to say. For the price point of the fajitas that my husband ordered, it wasn't at all plentiful. The steak was cut very small, thin and not much of it. Overall the fajitas weren't very much on the cast iron dish. The amount of rice and beans that came on the side were a very small amount, too. I ordered the pork Torta which is a Mexican sandwich. I wasn't very pleased with it but didn't complain. I ate half of it and will take the other half home to doctor it up. The bread was pressed. It was plain, not buttered and toasted as with other Mexican restaurants I go to. The bread quickly became very hard and tough to eat so I ate the filling of the Torta instead which truly wasn't much. It was rather dry too as there wasn't any mayo which normally comes on the Tortas I order everywhere else. The best Tortas are in little places in Texas and other locations outlets. LA Rumba in Crestview has a very good Torta with wonderful bread. I'll try peppers again in the future for...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this place. I have become a regular and eat here two or three times a week. I have given all the other Mexican restaurants in town at least ten chances and this place wins everytime that now it is the only one for me. Their salsa is fresh, not pre made. They get it to the table quick! The food is always fresh and delicious. The margaritas are the best in town. The others in town seem more like smoothies to me. Not a fan. Anyhow, the kitchen is fast, the servers are very friendly once you get them talking if they are not busy. The manager is great at any issues and super nice. He has been known to treat great customers very well. They are like family to me that feed me a lot. I said all that to say this, great food, great workers, great managers. If you are kind and take care of them they will take care of you. Just like they do through their community efforts during the year giving out free turkeys on Thanksgiving and stuff. BEST Mexican restaurant...
