Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Crestwood

My friend and I visited 3 years ago and they couldn't get a simple baked potato right. We decided to give this location a try again this past Saturday evening, April 13th. Both of us ordered a 6 oz top sirloin...me, medium and my friend, medium rare. When our steaks came out, both steaks were not only not cooked to order, but they were 2 different cuts. Her steak was oblong like a top sirloin while mine was a near perfectly round filet and much thicker than my friend's cut. The server got the manager who had an attitude right away. She treated us like we were stupid, insisting they were the same cuts. We were told that Applebee's gets the meat shipped to them already cut and that both steaks were the same cut. Accidents happen, and a filet probably got shipped in my mistake. Either way, the apology was not sincere...strictly business. She took our plates then the server told us we could have an appetizer or a dessert while we waited. We already had an app as we ordered the 2 for $25 deal. And a dessert before our main course? Really? We politely declined the offer and our server walked away, not to be seen again until after the manager came out with our recooked steaks. No drink refills (water and coffee, mind you). The manager set our plates down and said to cut them while she was watching to make sure they were okay. Not politely, but more demanding. Both steaks looked like the same cut and were cooked properly. No more words from her as she turned and walked off. The server finally came up and asked if we needed anything. Um... Drink refills, please? We thought after 3 years, things might have changed but they haven't. We won't be back to that location ever again. We'll stick to the Fenton or Arnold locations where they know how to treat customers and deal...

Horrible service. It took almost 45 minutes just to get the appetizers out, everyone at the table besides one person had ordered water, and the other person had ordered a soda and the waiter had brought out half of the peoples drinks and then forgot about the other half of the peoples drinks. we got our appetizers and then waited another 45 minutes for our food to come out and our food came out very slowly, with two peoples foods coming out then 10 minutes later the other two people foods coming out and then they forgot the two kids meals that were supposed to come out, so we had two very very crabby kids because they forgot about the two kids meals. When we asked the server about it she told us that she did not forget despite it being 15 minutes later and everyone else had finished their food and no kids meals The waiter said that the kids meals were done but they didn’t have any fries so we had to wait for the fries to come out with very crabby kids, most of our orders were messed up so that was not good and it took about 15 minutes to get the waiter to come back to us so we could ask for the right things and just to get her in general to come back to our table. After we finally got everyone’s meals out and finished eating the waiter did not come back to our table for a good half hour so we had to flag someone down to get the checks to us and when we finally got the check we had to flag it down again so we could pay the check. This place gets two stars because before we sat down to eat with friends my husband and I shared a white sangria at the bar and the bartender was friendly and fantastic and the best bartender I could ask for. I order the four cheese pasta, when my food came out it did not have no pasta sauce so when they brought the other food out which was Shay which I didn’t know she was the manger at the time. My boyfriend ask her can we get more sauce on the pasta she said yes and took it back. Brought out once again still no sauce on it for real she ask me was it okay, so I just ask can I have a extra sauce on the side and she storm off and said ohh my gosh. If it was done correctly the first time then I wouldn’t have to ask for extra , people make mistakes I get it ok fine. But don’t get a attitude because all I ask was for extra sauce on the side which she never brought it out to me she went straight to the computer to add the 0.99 cents on my bill which I shouldnt have to pay for but idc about the 99 cents it’s about the principle and customer service, instead of taking care of the customer first. Finally when our waiter came back to the table I told her hey I ask for extra sauce and she still have not brought it over. The manager Shay stood at the bar the whole time. When the check finally came I aak for the manger which was the same lady (Shay) how convenient is that. So I told her how rude she was and how I heard her storm off and say ohh my gosh because I ask for extra sauce on the side. And once again in the middle of me talking she said ok and just storm off Like are you really that lazy or angry that you didn’t want to get some sauce.
