I'm not from Nebraska, I came to stay with my brother for a while though and tried this place out and I was very happy with my experience there.
Honestly it's better than a lot of the stuff I have in my area (Five guys etc.) and I'd absolutely love to see this franchise expand out of state. If we had some of these on the East Coast, I'd be going regularly.
Just a really great experience. The menu was simple but enough to still have variety and not feel overwhelming. The food itself was very fresh and very tasty, fries were on point, crispy and complemented the meal well, add a shake to the mix and you're in heaven.
Prices are definitely worth it, again when you compare it to things like five guys that will charge you roughly around the same or more and imo less quality. I just know if I had one of these in my actual area/state, I'd be making it my go to burger joint.
For the value, what the menu offers and the food itself, I honestly don't think those "major" brands even come close to touching this little gem. Nebraska definitely has something special with this franchise. Staff was very friendly as well, welcoming and patient (out of state lol) to let me look at the menu before ordering.
The restaurant itself was very laid back and chill, I actually ate in (which I haven't done in years) and the place was pretty much spotless and very clean. As I was enjoying my meal, I was always seeing the staff constantly working and just cleaning the place up, refilling the condiments etc.
Couldn't give this place any higher of a review but if you're ever in the state of Nebraska (just cause Idk if it's exclusive to the state or maybe they have expanded a little out, aka Iowa etc.) definitely check them out, you won't be...
Read moreI've always liked Runzas from way back when I was a kid and ate my first one just outside pioneers park , when they were awesome and not franchised yet . Last evening 8 p.m. stop by the Crete Runza drive thru , was starving , ordered a cheese runza and a hamburger , sandwiches only . Got 1 mile out of town opened the hamburger and it was cold and dry , oh I had my food in about 2 minutes after I ordered it . So I choked down this so called precooked burger , grabbed the runza , uncooked dough , nothing but mushy cabbage and burger inside , tasted weird and had a burn on the outside like a microwave burn . Threw it out the window way to the sloppy , mushy filling with uncooked dough . A wad of gross . $12.02 wasted for left over lunch / dinner run sandwiches . It's to bad Runza has gotten to this point , DQ ,is right next door , might have to try them once , always dedicated my food choice in Crete to the Runza store . Never again . York Runza is not...
Read moreThe Crete location has the nicest, kindest, sweetest, most caring, exceptional workers i've ever seen in one establishment!! The manager is wonderful. She must know how to hire the "great" ones because each new hire is just as impressive as the last ☺ We've a group of five women that love coming to Crete Runza 2-5 at a time, 2-10 times a month for "girl" time! We always enjoy coming here. The employees remember us and our orders. They're just so sweet! We've groups of 7-20 that really enjoy lunch & fellowship at Crete Runza after church on Sunday afternoons. The staff is quick, efficient, accommodating, kind and extremely nice. We very rarely, if ever, have mistakes with our orders -- this is great, very appealing! Crete RUNZA gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐...
