China 1 Restaurant — Restaurant in Cross City

My wife and I juat moved into the area and have been trying to local fare. She typically isn't a fan of chinese food but China 1 was open later so our options were limited. I always get beef and broccoli but she decided to order that having had it before so i decided to go with another favorite, cashew chicken. The beef and broccoli waa very standard however, the cashew chicken was hands down the worst I've ever had; it was nearly inedible. Huge amounts of barely cooked celery and none of the other typical staples like water chestnuts or baby corns and very few cashews, not to mention that it must have been pork because it wasn't the same as the beer in my wife's dish and it was very clearly not chicken. Very clearly. This was a huge let down, we paid almost 30 dollars for two entree combos and we ended up just splitting hers. I rarely step out of my comfort zone at Chinese places for thiw reason. I've had plenty of excellent cashew chicken elsewhere, definitely not here. Chexk your food before you leave because I have no idea what that was...

Very very bad experience with my friend getting good poisons!

The vibe was terrible since only three of us eating, and the restaurant was so disorganized with dirty buffet cart and messey kitchen inside. Only one cashier and one chef for the 300 square meter room. And the cashier doesn't speak English well. The fake chinese food was not fresh at all and oily. The chiken brocolli tasted sour and seems going bad. The shrimp rice which my friend got poisoned and face allergies was definitely unfresh and nasty. My Mongolian beer was not fresh either.

Both me and the other friend had slight stomachache. Since we had to drive back to Tallahassee, we did not complain to them...

They have menus with 5.49 lunch special and then hit you with 6.49 and tell you that those are old menus with wrong price. Also, this most be the first Chinese restaurant that don't know how to cook rice cause my rice is raw hard, hmmm maybe it's old, these days who knows. Then they don't want to give beef with mushroom only with lunch or combination platter. Very unwilling to provide accommodation to customers. Will continue to go to Chiefland China 1, they lady there is super nice and they know how to cook rice and accommodates orders. Chiefland China 1 it's the best in...
