Buffet
Really needs the owner to make some kind of investment.
Food- Cold with the exception of the Sausage Gravy. The danishes would have been great had they bit gotten soaked in the bottom by water or steam I gather.
Appearance - Why oh why would you decorate with a decor of ceramic / porcelain figurines? This is not your home it's your restaurant... someone please help this place! Ramsey would have a stroke if he saw this place.
Seating - Pick a chair, any chair.... it literally looks like any chair they found at a dump they picked up and the tables were no exception.
Feels like an old retirement home with the clientele. I was shocked they're alive and I'm 61 lol
After I left I immediately had to stop for the restroom. I don't wanna even think what the kitchen might look like. I know it's a small business but damn.
Seems I struck a nerve by giving my opinion and some constructive criticism and that's OK. I went for breakfast and it was all cold except for the gravy. Maybe your lunch or dinner buffet is much better. Items like eggs and pancakes get cold very quickly. But let's be honest the bacon was not the best quality considering it's country cooking and the Orange Juice was not freshly squeezed and tasted more like frozen type. But hey if you've been open for 14 years debt-free, breaking the bank, rolling in profit with a mansion; then Hurray for you!
As for the figurines if that's your signature for the establishment then a nice cleaning to remove the dust might help or a nice cabinet to show them off.
And if your tables and chairs are all new as you stated and matched then I'm suing my Optometrist and need new glasses. See pic's background. Some are light others dark. The chairs whether metal or wood were all different shapes/styles/designs and it wasn't intentionally done by your interior decorator. If so, you're entitled to a full refund.
You feel free to ignore the comments posted by others that the place is outdated. I'm just 1 person with 1 opinion.
Lastly, thank you for the compliment. Yes, but I'm not only a nice piece of work; I've been best described as honest, articulate, and a damn good cook! I'd post pics but I wouldn't want others to think it's your restaurant's dishes.
I'll go easy on you. Maybe just 1 pic. My...
Read moreLet me tell you about this place! I had read the reviews and was a bit skeptical, especially when I came across comments about the bathroom being dirty. However, I soon discovered that restaurants with less-than-perfect bathrooms often serve the best food! I did go in the bathroom to wash my hands, and it was very clean. Thank God☺️
When I arrived, I was greeted by an older lady who was the sweetest person I encountered in the whole town. All the waitresses were very nice, warm, and welcoming as well! They had a buffet with some decent-looking food, but I decided to try the liver and onions—yes, I said liver and onions It was incredibly tender, and the homemade gravy was absolutely delicious. On the buffet that day, they also had fried chicken, and the young lady working there even let me sample a piece. It was so good that I had to take some home with me! I ended up getting fried chicken, black-eyed peas, and this cheesy dish that I initially thought was macaroni. It turned out to be little pieces of potatoes smothered in this gold cheese sauce, and it was amazing—I was really upset I didn’t get more of it! I can't wait to pass through this town again. Keep up the good work; it truly was a Southern home-cooked meal! Sorry I didn't take any pictures. I couldn't put my...

When I first walked into the place people were very nice, One of the servers looked at me and my dog who was in my hoodie pocket and said I could sit wherever I like!
I found a table that was far away from people and the kitchen, I just wanted to enjoy a nice quiet lunch. Unfortunately my server for the table I picked said I need to leave unless I put my dog on the ground, I then proceeded to tell her and show her my service dog card, I told her that he needs to be close to me not on the ground.
I was refused service unless I put him on the ground, I'm a disabled veteran and I have medical reasons why I need my dog close by!
I noticed that the customers were enjoying their food and had no problem with my service dog.
I should have probably asked for the manager but I'm not that kind of person, I know when I'm not welcomed and if my dog's not welcomed I'm not welcomed.
(So the owner wants to reply back saying that my dog could sit in the booth, why wasn't I given that option? The owner also claims I'm upset, that's not the case, my feelings aren't hurt. My service dog needs to be by my side for specific reasons. This is the first restaurant that had a problem with my...
