Let me start off by saying many years ago I managed a cooperative McDonalds. This is a franchise and it shows.
First, not a single employee was dressed in uniform. Yes it was Halloween but those not in costume were in everyday clothes that do not represent McDonald’s at all.
Lobby was somewhat clean. Even through there was an employee in the lobby, he mainly wondered back and forth or sat in a chair playing on his phone. The tables needed cleaned, the floor swept & the doors and windows were filthy.
The food: McRibs, Fries and a Quarter Pounder.
McRibs (3) were flavorless and rubbery. This is due to them being cooked, held in the warmer and not warmed in the sauce, which gives flavor and keeps them tender.
Fries were ordered with no salt and extra crispy. They came out wimpy. Fries were not frozen when dropped, oil temp was not correct and likely pulled too early, so not cooked long enough.
And the Quarter Pounder… When bitten into, the meat Crunched! Can you say over cooked?!?! I took it up and asked for a new one. I got it after “cooking a new one”. Bit into it and it was still burned and this time very over seasoned. Went back and was told a manager would make it. They brought it out and it was edible. Still over cooked though. The temperature and/or timing to cook on the “clam shell” is off a lot or they have the wrong item selected to cook.
VERY disappointing!!!
My Mother (who the QP was for) said she will go to Chick-fil-A for sandwiches...
Read moreI have only visited twice in total, while in town. The first time was Saturday brunch time. I had recommendations for a couple of small privately owned breakfast restaurants that were totally packed and had already wasted half an hour fighting with tight parking lots with no vacant spaces and lines of people waiting to be seated and maybe served within the foreseeable future. The big parking lot here was nearly full and more than a dozen vehicles were waiting in the drive-through lanes. We had to park away from the door and walked in. Within 2 minutes we had been given our order, the associate was actually waiting for us to sit on a table after getting our drinks from the fountain. We put an additional order to go, we had it in two minutes as well. We revisited a couple of days later, same story. Plus: fully renovated interior with lots of natural light and beautiful pleasant colors, polite and smiling staff, cleanliness everywhere (including the restroom which was the size of a bedroom). I was looking at the shift manager, she was attending everything and doing whatever needed to assist and direct. She deserves congratulations. I am really sorry for those small private restaurants with all those 5* reviews, I will skip giving them 1* reviews for being totally unable to serve their clientele. But whenever in Crossville, this is going to be my breakfast place. Please note: I only like (and never visit for anything else than that) breakfast and...
Read moreI've noticed a downward trend in my beloved McDonald's lately. We've been visiting here since my son was a very small boy. He's now 34. I understand the extreme difficulty in finding and keeping good employees. BUT...way too many times I've been through picking up coffee (which is/was the best in town), and it's cold or old or weak or just brown water or so strong that too many times l pour it out, and the lids are usually not pressed down securely or cracked. The once stellar fries are Luke warm or cold and constantly lacking enough salt. Wendy's is now beating you terribly with their fries. My McDonald's is constantly getting our orders wrong or we have to wait in front of the building and sometimes have to go in, stand in line and wait for them to figure it out. Unfortunately, there are other failures l could mention but... I/we love our McDonald's and we don't want to take our business elsewhere....but we will. This particular restaurant is usually very busy, so please, for your customers sake, fix your problems so we all can continue to enjoy our visits for many, many...
