Today was the last straw. Four times now I have shown up to Chatpata Swad store with the OPEN light on and no one there during stated business hours.
No answer on the listed number, rings on forever. On their Website, Facebook and google, 10am is their opening time.
The first time, I arrived at 1015 am. No one in store, figured a fluke, came back 4 hours later, the store was open.
The second and third time arriving around 11am closed and decided to wait, I beat, whom I believe was the owner, there by 15 and 25 minutes.
Today, I decided to give the owner a good hour after the store opened, pulled in parking lot and not to my surprise, door locked and OPEN sign lit, at 1115.
I was finally able to reach someone named Nick, via email, who told me in first response that they would be opening at 12 Noon. I asked if this was the new hours of operation, and in the second response I was told they would be in at 130pm. Which is it?
What upsets me the most is the fact I received a Facebook update with their meal deal at 1030am, telling me to come in and it shows their hours of operation!
While I try my hardest to keep moneys local and help out small business, I cannot bring myself to spend another penny here. The inconsistency in their ability to manage basic hours of operation cause me to question their ability to handle other parts of this operation, including the safe handling of food they are serving.
Do yourself a favor and drive a little further south down Randall Rd. There is another Indian restaurant and grocer that opens on time, and serves literally...
Read moreIf I could give a worse rating I absolutely would! We were the only customers there on a Saturday so that should’ve been my indication but I love Indian food so I figured why not. The food was inauthentic and flavorless, the service was hurried and lacking patience or description. It was the first time trying food for my partner and gave him a terrible experience! He ordered a platter that took one bite out of, he did not like at all because it barely looked like chicken and had a funny brown covering on it when it was “chicken breast” in red sauce and the full priced chicken came with no rice so I ended up sharing mine and they saw that and gave no customer care, as expected. He settled for another appetizer in fear for the same experience and they did not take it out of the bill out of courtesy because I’m sure they couldn’t afford to so they stacked up their days earning on a first timer!! I was highly disappointed with every single aspect of their service and I would recommend people to try ANYTHING else in the area but this location. I would never return even if they paid me to go!!! NEVER COME HERE IF YOU CHERISH...
Read moreSuper good! Enthusiastic about Indian Cuisine, definitely give this place a try and see if you enjoy it! The Mango Lassi is great way to start of your order with its pleasant yogurt soothing taste! We ordered Aloo Tikki and Veggie Somosas to start off for us! Super good, highly recommend these if you enjoy snacks or light snacks to start of your meal! Moving onto the entrees, we ordered Paneer Mahkani and Chicken Kadai! The dishes taste very similar to dishes before and leave a nice taste in your mouth even if you can only handle medium heat! Paneer Makhani was fairly sweet and curated to our taste buds! The basmati rice was super nice side dish and went along with the main entrees fairly nice! Our favorites were the sauces that come with the appetizers, red has a sweet tang while green leaves a slight pepper scent in the back of your mouth! Would definitely come back again to try more dishes I'm unfamiliar with!! Also they have music and a bar, service was amazing and they kept us pleased! Thank you for your food, hopefully if you're reading this.. come try all of...
