McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

Ordered sw spicy chicken sandwich. Heard many good reviews and was excited to try. Ordered to go but guess I should have checked before I left. There is supposed to be avocado, pepperjack, corn/bean salsa...none of which was on. What I did get was barely a 1/2 cup of shredded chicken drenched in sauce with a limp piece of bacon..which isn't even supposed to be in this sandwich. My son requested we stop at McAlister's one day as we were driving down route 14. I never heard of the place, but he had a friend from school that worked here. I'm glad we stopped because our experience that day has made this a quick favorite of ours. I was impressed to the point I felt the need to tell, who I assumed was the shift manager, what an excellent experience my wife and I had. I can’t emphasize how good the food was, the staff treated every single customer and also how great of a time we had! I highly recommend Crystal Lake McAllister’sDeli.
