The woman working at the front desk was incredibly rude for absolutely no reason. I have been in hotels throughout the USA and in Europe and have never dealt with someone who is so rude for absolutely no reason. I have never in my life made a negative review of an establishment. 99% of the time an employee who is not “up to par” is usually going through things in their personal life, not getting paid enough, etc. they still try to meet guest needs/ do their jobs. I have NEVER met anyone who is so comfortable speaking to people in such a disrespectful manner. I can’t imagine how her employees feel. I am not only demanding a full refund but begging for her to be reviewed by her coworkers. If she felt that incredibly comfortable disrespecting people she doesn’t know, I am sure her coworkers have heard worse. She belittled me over the phone!! Before we even got there I called to see if it was possible to add someone to the reservation and I nearly canceled because of how angry she reacted. We arrived to the hotel before I told my bf about the experience. A short while after he went in to confirm our stay he came out and the first thing he told us was, “the lady is really mad at me because careful going in”. Call the establishment and ask to add someone to the reservation, I dare you. Her attitude towards a group of people who were incredibly polite, especially since we have all worked in the service industry at some point or another was unacceptable, inappropriate, and disappointing to say the least. Our entire stay was marred with concern that we would do something to upset her. Not to mention she closed the pool an hour early, but u understand external forces can be at play with sit like that. Next time I’ll choose the hotel across the street or a gd motel. Do better. I’ll sleep with the roaches before I accept a hotel that accepts disrespect for no reason. I would like to note- the other staff members were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. They were easy going and provided...
Read moreVery disappointed in this hotel. I’ve stayed at quite a few Country Inn and Suites and this one is by far the worst stay I’ve had.
Bedroom- The room smelled of must and cologne. Beds were insanely squeaky. My son would barely move and the bed would squeak so loud it would wake me and my husband up. Our bed was just as bad. We opened a drawer to use it and it was full of debris. The shower had minimal pressure and had to be placed all the way on hot to even have some warmth. The room was out dated and very much in need of upgrading (not too big of a deal to me though).
Pool/hot tub- YUCK! The pool seemed unclean as the bottom was not visible and seemed very cloudy. My son decided to swim in it anyway and said he felt slimy and that the bottom of the pool felt like it had sand on it. You could clearly see the siding of the pool breaking apart. The hot tub was clean but had the same issue of the siding breaking apart and the bottom felt like sand was in it. There were also areas that looked as though mold or algae were growing. The women’s bathroom was freezing in the pool area which made a very uncomfortable use while wet.
Breakfast- Day one breakfast had cold dried out potatoes, eggs that were dried out, and waffle mix that was too thin. Day two breakfast was better with good scrambled eggs and sausage gravy with biscuits. The coffee was horrible.
Overall hotel- The stairs needed vacuumed, the halls smelled old and kind of musty like the bedroom, and the hotel was outdated.
Staff- The night staff was great for check in she was very pleasant. No other interactions with staff happened until check out.
I expressed my concerns to the front desk upon checkout and she stated she “would let the manager know” and that I “might get a call”.
Would not recommend and will not...
Read moreThe hotel has your typical amenities. We had the bridal Suite which had a Jacuzzi in it. The room smelled of mold and had rust spots on the ceiling. The smell wasn't awful but it was definitely noticeable.
The real reason i'm writing this review is because of the staff. The front Desk Manager Leia (not sure how to spell her name), went above and beyond the call of duty. She allowed us to stay in the pool as late as 2am the night before the wedding even though it closes at 11am. She gave us access to one of the conference rooms the night before the wedding as per our contract, but she ALSO gave us access the day of the wedding, for the bride and brides maids so they would be able to get ready there.
The bride and I also didn't plan for transportation for the bridal party before and after the wedding, but she went ahead and arranged for extra trips to the venue via their shuttle just for the bridal party free of charge. After the wedding for the return trip, they also provided a shuttle for the guests and bridal party as well as taxis in case the shuttle was full.
The last day of our stay after eating breakfast at their complimentary breakfast, they congratulated us and allowed us to store our anniversary cake in their fridge since it didn't fit into ours. They also gave us extra time to pack the car so we didn't feel rushed or stressed about check out times.
Overall the hotel it self is average and nothing special, but the staff there are what truly make this hotel something special. Based on what the other guests in our wedding told us, it sounds like they had a similar experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for an event head quarters or...
