Landmark by the Lake — Restaurant in Cudahy

Went here to get food with a friend, Shes vegan and ordered a veggie omelette, since she can have eggs. she made it very clear when she ordered, that she couldnt have any meat at all. when she went to take a bite, there was ham in the first piece. we immediately flagged over the waiter, and told him about it, when i showed the piece to the waiter, he told me it was a tomato when i said it was ham. I had taken a small bite of it, to make sure it was ham for my vegan friend before we went to bring it to the waiters attention. He continuously told me that it was a tomato , and when i asked if they could remake it, he basically said no, and came back from going to the kitchen and just said how it was a accident but never said anything on how we could fix it. in the end, he just gave us a few dollars off of the food when we wanted it to just be remade. The food was fantastic. It was quick, hot and delicious. The atmosphere was something a little different.

The place was clean and the staff was impeccable, but there was a child screaming its head off for the entire time we were there. Everyone was looking and complaining amongst themselves, but no one did anything. I left with a full tummy, but a major headache.

I want to add, this is not the staffs fault, it is probably hard to discuss this with someone, but I couldn’t even hear the person I was eating with, so we sat in silence for most of the meal until they left as we got the check.

We will be back, but I hope next time we can enjoy our meal with a little peace.

I wanted to try a new local restaurant for breakfast, so I visited Landmark by the Lake. Unfortunately, the bloody mary was very bland in flavor, and the apple crepes didn't appear to have any cinnamon or cream cheese in them. The corned beef hash was overcooked and appeared to be from a can. The one highlight regarding our food was the meat omelet, which included toast, hashbrowns, and the omelet, which were all made well and tasted as you'd expect.
