🍔🌭 Lakeside Pub & Grill🥙🥗 🏡🏭 LOCATION (= 1 ⭐️) - Lakeside pub and Grill is a really cute and cool sports bar and Grill on the corner of a street right off of downtown Cudahy Wisconsin. Inside is decorated with murals of football, basketball, baseball memorabilia of Milwaukee past greats. Really good indoor and outdoor seating, huge oval bar in the middle that can see probably 40 people. 💁🏼✍️ SERVICE (= 1 ⭐️) - Service was fantastic. The young men and young lady that were serving me tonight we’re extremely thoughtful, fast, and intentional about their service. 🥗🍜 FOOD (= 1 ⭐️) - The food was good, not great. I ordered the fried pickles, and I didn’t love them, they were much more pickle and they were batter. I also ordered the fried chicken buffalo wrap and fries, the fries were regular and the buffalo chicken wrap was fine but there was certainly nothing spectacular about it. The ranch was very good though. And the food was not low quality enough to lose a star however. It was what one should expect when going to a classic sports bar and ordering food. 💰💵 PRICE (= 1 ⭐️) - The price is about $8 to $11 per appetizer and $10-$15 per meal. To be honest I feel that these prices were a bit high based on the level of quality of food that I received. If the food was much higher quality, then I would not mind paying the prices at all. I’m gonna dock one star in this category but overall I wasn’t highly disappointed I just feel that their prices should more accurately reflects their quality. 💃🏻🎊 EXPERIENCE (= 1 ⭐️) - my experience was great, minus the fact that when it was about time to order my meal the server informed me that the one cook they had in the back simply walked out on his shift and that they now had no one to make any food. She was extremely apologetic, and I was very understanding, but it did make for a very awkward experience. I enjoyed my fried pickles that had been brought out to me before the cook walked out of their shift, and nursed The Coke that I had been working on while watching my game. Luckily college football games are four hours long and by the time we got to the third-quarter the cook had returned. And so I ordered my meal and it was brought out. Besides that, there were probably 40 people inside laughing, smiling, yelling at the TV screens in support or in agony of their favorite sports team. It’s a very fun environment. 🤔 Overall Thoughts - 4 ⭐️’s! Stellar location, Wonderful staff, adequate food, more money than I would like to spend on bar food but not terrible, and a great experience. Strong recommend.

Great spot in a quiet Cudahy neighborhood. Jada was our server for the evening and she was just wonderful. Cute as a button, friendly, attentive, and genuinely apologetic when one of the ribeyes for the sandwich special was cooked well when it should have been medium rare. No issues what-so-ever getting a replacement - which was cooked perfectly. Jada made us feel welcome and never made us feel like we needed to rush to leave. The world needs more Jadas. The atmosphere is fun without being obnoxious. There is the bar area that's a few steps up from a corner dive. Welcoming, neighborly, clean, and bright. Don't get me wrong, I love a good dive bar, but you typically go there when you want peace and don't want to be seen...hehehe. There is a good sized area with tables for dining. They have both high and low tops, and they did take my reservation specifically for low tops. They also have an area with a pool table, plus other bar-type games around the interior. The decor is sports memorabilia, with a lean toward the Brewers (at least from my vantage point). Lots of TVs for watching the current sporting event(s). Although we ate inside, they have a lovely patio area out back as well. And now the food. They have a special on Monday's of $2 off either the Ahi Tuna Sandwich or the Ribeye Steak Sandwich. One of the group had the tuna and 4 had the ribeye. All enjoyed very much. One person had a crispy chicken sandwich that I guess came with marinara. She just asked for more sauce, but otherwise said it was real good. The remaining 2 of us had the Bob Mac, which is their take on the Big Mac - with better ingredients and no frozen beef patties. It was delicious. Messy. Juicy. Very tasty. I ate the first 1/2 wrapped in a napkin, and then gave up and used a knife and fork on the second 1/2. Did not detract from the flavors at all, just a different delivery system. I would definitely order it again. All dinners came with house cooked chips or fries and pickle slices. A couple of us did order desserts to go. I got a brownie. Very chocolatey, but unfortunately too sweet for my taste. I certainly ate it all, because it is a brownie, and it is chocolate. I just don't need anymore sugar for a few days. 😁 We like to try new places, but I can this is as one we'll go back to when we want a steak sandwich or burger.

This neighborhood bar has a very good burger. Juicy, and we'll seasoned, my build-a-burger included standard lettuce and tomato and fried onions. I added extras- sautéed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. The fries are OK - nothing special -average bar fare. Drinks are varied, and being dry January - I tried a NA Guiness. Blasphemy to some, I actually found the lighter NA Guinness was pretty good. Our bartender/server did a nice job. Plenty of sports TVs to watch. Seems like a nice place to shoot pool or play cards. Good Cudahy vibe. (Yes I said it). In summer, it looks like there's a patio and service out back.

We had such a disappointing experience at Lakeside. We visited on a weeknight in the evening, and it was a little busy when we arrived. It took an hour to receive food, and by the time it came out, the place was empty. Others had arrived after us, received their food in the meantime, and left. The atmosphere was not very welcoming, and the service was awful. There was no explanation of why our food took so long until over 40 minutes had passed, and we were told the kitchen had run out of burger patties and was pressing more. I believe our server forgot to put in our order; at one point about 30 minutes after she took the order, she put an order into the computer and went into the kitchen and closed the door. A few minutes later was when she came over to tell us the order was delayed.

We probably should have known after the first 10 minutes of arriving that the experience wouldn’t be good. We finished our first drinks by the time our server returned to take our food order. We then proceeded to wait 40 minutes until she returned to tell us our order was delayed. We tried to catch her attention numerous times to ask, but she didn’t even look at our table. In the meantime, we saw several orders come and go for the staff, who were standing around a table eating and chatting. We saw random food go out presumably for regulars; there was a definite feel of us being “outsiders”, which maybe contributed to the poor service. In that 40 minutes, we didn’t even receive our appetizer of Frickles (fried pickles). When our server returned to tell us the food was delayed, she tried to offer us shots, which we found somewhat inappropriate (she ended up comping two of our drinks, to her credit). At that point we were starving and only wanted an explanation of why our food was taking so long in an empty restaurant. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have brought out our appetizer at least, as they were perfectly capable of making appetizers for the staff during this time.

An hour later, the Frickles came out, shortly followed a few minutes later by the burgers. The Frickles were okay, but kind of bland without the Sriracha aioli that came with them. The burgers were good and the fries were just okay. While I was still eating, still chewing even, our server came back and took our baskets away without even asking.

I don’t plan to return, and I would not recommend Lakeside. I’m really disappointed I suggested going there in the...
