My husband and I researched where to have dinner in Culebra, and Harspoon’s had the best ratings. The menu looked great and patrons raved about the friendly service. I asked my son in law to call and make a reservation a week and a half before our trip because I had read we would definitely need one for a Saturday night and he is from Puerto Rico so I wanted to be sure there were no misunderstandings about the date or time. My Spanish is not very good. When we arrived, there was no reservation for us.We were told that it was probably because we made the reservation over a week ago and they don’t write reservations down if it’s too far in advance. We were disappointed but figured we would just try to make the best of it and asked if we could sit at the bar area. The waitress said that would be ok, however we did not feel welcome. When we ordered we asked for recommendations from the menu. The waitress was blunt and unfriendly. A group of four people came to the door and she asked how many. They were taken right to the dining room. My husband and I felt increasingly uncomfortable and unwelcome so we left money on the table for our drinks and left. Read moreWow! We happened upon this place while trying to find literally anything to eat for dinner on this island on a Saturday evening. My two kids were hangry and the mood in the car was grim. I was skeptical when we pulled up bc every place was busy and some even stopped taking waiting lists even though it was only like 6:30. My heart sank when I was asked if we had a reservation upon inquiring about seating. However, our party was promptly seated. The staff were friendly, the drinks tasty, and the food was brought out hot, fresh, and delicious. Everything from the ceviche to the calamari and the churrasco was very well done. Thank you for saving our evening and a potential...

Each couple ordered the catch of the day which was the red snapper. The fish was fresh, meaty, salty, and fried. It was enough for each couple. I would recommend asking the weight of the fish that they have available before ordering it as they charged us 2 different prices for the fish as there were different sizes/weights. We also ordered the tostones and mofongo which were great. I would recommend eating here as the food was...
