Newly reopened in mid-March 2022, this is a fabulous addition to the dining scene on Culebra. We had heard very good things from friends who had eaten here earlier in the week, and we completely agree with their suggestions! No longer focused only on tapas, the menu is all new, with imaginative appetizers, and nice selection of fresh fish, chicken, churrasco, and pasta, using local Puerto Rican inspired seasonings and preparation. We were pleased to find a nice bar, and some very interesting cocktails with sophisticated twists that made them stand out from the usual (and were thoroughly enjoyed!) The servers were attentive and knowledgeable, with good suggestions based on our requests. As is typical for nicer restaurants on Culebra, the menu focuses on a relatively small set of entrees based on the currently freshest available ingredients. We both had the Mahi Mahi, both pan seared and very fresh; my wife’s in a super flavorful garbanzo bean preparation, and mine was the chef’s special that night with a shrimp topping. Both were nice thick fillets, extremely fresh, and expertly cooked, nice and moist and flavorful. The restaurant seating area is on a recently built covered deck overlooking the inlet, with beautiful natural wood beams and a fabulous view of the water. We met the chef/owner Norman, an accomplished chef who learned his skills from his dad who was also a chef. Norman seems very passionate about his newly opened restaurant! We will definitely be back, to what seems a very promising new upscale-but-still-casual...

Read moreIf I could give a zero rating, I would! I ordered a seared tuna. It was extremely tough and apparently over cooked. I told my server it was tough and another person from staff came to me and said that he could not take it off my bill. I looked at him with a confused look and said, I have to pay for a plate I’m not going to eat? He got the owner and I explained to the owner that the tuna was tough. He said no problem. I ordered something else. When I saw the server, I asked him If he put in the order and he said that his boss told him not to. I again looked at him confused and my friend got up to talk to the owner. He told her that I would have to wait until all tickets were completed before my second order could be cooked. His reason was because I returned my order. My friend said so you are punishing her for returning a dish? He said that she was disrespectful and walked away. My friend ordered a red snapper with rice and beans. The rice was cold, the beans were, well let’s just say, she had better and the red snapper was bland. I ordered a margarita and I must say it was the worse one I ever had. My friend got so angry that she said let’s go! I paid the bill and left. NEVER… NEVER will I ever go to that place again! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy!!!...
