Atmosphere Positives • Everything was organized. • Smelled clean and like an old school pizza shop should. • Outside seating area was clean. Areas for improvement • Floor was dirty in the front area. Needed to be swept and a deep scrub in multiple areas. • Table needed to be bussed. I was there for a while and staff were not in constant motion that they couldn't clean the area.
Staff Positives • Staff are bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish. • Second staff member working the front was courteous and kept an eye out for my order. Areas for improvement • Despite a sign being displayed stating, “If you're reading this, be kind, it's free”, the counter staff taking orders was more interested in his phone and mumbling out a greeting. • Staff do not have on nameplates.
Food - I ordered a pizza. Positives • The cheese was great. Not too oily. Right amount of char. Good bite through. Right amount of pull. • The sauce was decent. Mellow, not overpowering, maybe a tad understated. Areas for improvement • The crust didn't have any structure and the toppings were quick to fall off. It did have a nice char underneath but tasted like it might be better as a bread than a pizza dough. I didn't look in the back but from the undercarriage I'm guessing it was cooked on a wire rack on a rolling oven. It wasn't bad and I think just needs some ingredient tweaking. Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews so bear with me on this, but I ordered on the mamas websight. The mobile app told me the food was done to head to the store for pick up, upon arriving a young gentleman and 3 other girls look at me confused asking why I am there, after telling them my name they get an attitude and said food is not ready come back at 7:30pm (keep in mind k arrived around 7:15pm). I asked why, and I was belittled by the young gentleman “ because we said the foods not ready”. I go out to my car for about 20 minutes and come back in, and another customer had the same problem. So politely I told the young female cashier that I believed there to be an issue with the online app telling people to come in early, and with a rude response she popped the rudest tone in her voice stating “ok? Why are you telling me this it’s not like I can fix it” and she proceeded to roll her eyes. I was telling you this to help, and provide some feed back as a customer that enjoys eating at that establishment, and myself and my family have consistently ate at mamas since I was a young child. So after tonight, if this is how customers are treated I will not longer be spending my money towards a place that makes its customers feel low for only doing what your establishment...
Read moreI called in an order for pickup. Very friendly over the phone. My husband ordered the lasagna dinner and I did the white pizza. He LOVED the lasagna, said it was almost perfect, however I am unable to say the same for my dish. I was very excited to try it but quickly realized it looked subpar. I still decided to give it a try.
The pizza was extremely thin, hardly any sauce in it (see pic), and the cheese looked and tasted old and very bland. I don’t think this pizza was worth the $20 I paid for it. I realize in this economy prices are rising and the local restaurants have to adjust to it and raise their own prices. But for what I paid for this pizza, I honestly expected more. I’m very disappointed. On my end, I give them a one star for food quality and husband gives them 5 stars for his lasagna.
