This place disappointed me greatly. I wrote a review a few months ago with five stars and unfortunately have to change it.
I called the number listed for here and it turned out to be the owner. I have severe celiac and asked if this would be something they could accommodate. He walked me through each item on the menu, assured me there was a dedicated fry fryer, and assured me his staff was knowledgeable in limiting cross contamination. I ate there and felt fine the first time.
I ate there a second time and got really sick. I assumed it was something else from that day given the safety precautions I was assured would be in place here.
Upon returning a third time, I asked some questions just to be on the safe side since I got sick last time. I was told that the fryer was not dedicated and was frequently used to cook cheese curds. When I suggested that they not tell people that it is dedicated for fries, their response was "the owner does not really know what goes on here. He is not in charge of this location, I am". I was taken back by this comment some but my family really wanted to eat here so I figured I would just order a lettuce wrapped burger. I told them about have celiac and watched as they prepped it. My burger was placed on a bun, removed from the bun, and then placed in lettuce. I obviously did not eat it and threw it out.
I was hopeful this could be an option for me as Culpeper is really lacking in gluten free options, but I have to say it is now a skip for me...
Read moreAnother stop on Burrito’s girls’ weekend with Cupcake. We were both craving burgers and wanted to try this place out. Upon walking in, we were the only patrons in this store, and the two employees on shift were sitting down. This should’ve told us everything we needed to know. However, we ordered on. Burrito got a single graze burger the way that it comes on menu and cheese curds. Cupcake had a BYOB - two patties, American cheese (the only type of cheese they offer), graze sauce, and other toppings. She also got fries. Everything was presented wrapped to go despite the fact that we were dining in. Burrito’s burger was sad looking visually from the second she unwrapped it, but thankfully it tasted better than it looked. The graze sauce was good. The cheese curds were yummy and so where the fries. Cupcake’s double patty burger was more visually pleasing on the unwrap, but lackluster overall. They were definitely not the best burgers we have ever had, nor close to the top of the list. The most unusual part about the whole experience was that you could see and watch people at another restaurant located in the alleyway between Graze and the building next door, while you were eating. We would both forgo this place as a a burger option in the future, opting for other semi-fast foodesque...
Read moreA huge shout out to Graze to Griddle! We ordered online now that the online ordering is up and running. I got home with our food and had just unpacked everything only to realize the cheese curds were missing. If you’ve had these before you can imagine my disappointment 😅 Before I could even grab my phone to call the restaurant my phone was ringing. It was one of the young men that work there letting me know that they were sorry and would like to deliver them to me. I was shocked by this level of service. Not only did I not even expect a call, I assumed I would be told thet I could come pick them up or a refund could be issued. Either of which would have been okay. But to bring them all the way to my home was just so unexpected and amazing! They were hot, fresh, and perfect as always. Our entire order was delicious! They really do go above and beyond to make sure every customer is not only happy with their food but with their overall experience. I’m completely blown away at how attentive they are there. Kudos to the team at Graze to Griddle! You all have gained customers for life here...
