This recent experience with the culpeper Wendy's is the last straw for me. Every single time, without fail, they mess up my order. Order a large, they give me a small, ask for the receipt they lie to your face and say it's in the bag. Ask for no mayo and guess what, it's slathered in disgusting mayo. Out of ice every time I visit. No chocolate frosty but the strawberry is there. Pickles all stacked in one spot. Ask for sriracha, they tell me it's discontinued but they have ghost pepper ranch. Yet after confirming I want the GPR sauce, I do not receive it. And not a single smile, no "have a good day" just talking to their co-workers like they're not at work. I understand everyone has a bad day, everybody makes mistakes, but the consistency with which these mistakes happen is so bewildering that I am not coming here anymore. If you take the time to read reviews, and you think that I am just being negative or blowing it out of proportion, know that I have given them the benefit of the doubt numerous times.
Is it too much to expect that my exact order is what I receive? Should it be expected that every customer needs to double check the order we received? Maybe if the worker read the order back to me then they would possibly remember what it actually is. The rare occasions that this Wendy's performs well, the food and experience both are great, but that's as common as a blue moon. I would ask for a refund but I did not receive a receipt. I wonder why that is. I have worked fast food before and let me tell you, it can get stressful, but it isn't difficult. Guess I'll just do a chargeback and add Culpeper Wendys to...
Read moreI normally enjoy Wendy's, however, our Wendy's in Culpeper is the worst Wendy's ever! I wish there was a company number that I could complain to. I went through the drive-thru at night. The menu sign was not lit and was difficult to see. I was told at the window that the manager always forgets to turn it on. I waited behind 2 "whole" cars for 30 minutes before I got to the window. I ordered a chicken salad and 3 frosty's. When I got to the window I was told that they didn't have any grilled chicken and they were going to put their breaded chicken in my salad instead. I said no, that's not what I ordered. They said it would take 5 to 8 minutes for my salad to be prepared and would I pull off to the side to wait. They handed me the 3 frosty's that were filled about an inch and a half from the top of the cup. When I complained, I was treated rudely. I waited another 20 min. for my salad. While waiting my frosty's melted. I have never seen such incompetence. When I finally arrived home, my salad was poorly put together. I will never go to the Culpeper, Va. Wendy's again. Like I said earlier, I wish I could complain to the owner. He or she needs to fire their whole staff and...
Read moreI've been to this Wendy's multiple times. The staff regularly uses old fries if you are going by later than 10 PM and minor adjustments to burgers are regularly screwed up. The owner appears to be particularly cheap since ice in the soda is sometimes 60% of the cup, the lot is very dark and they can't be bothered to illuminate the restaurant building itself. Occasionally, you will receive a tasty burger, but don't count on it.
Update May 2014: Corporate or someone else has seen that this restaurant is now lit much better and the food is generally better. The fries are still using older oil and generally nasty. Even when you used to wait on fries late at night, which is the correct way to handle this, they don't generally turn out well. Change the grease guys. Room for improvement, keep going.
Update August 2015: Burger sloppily put together, fries about as overcooked as you can go and the Sprite was a little off. Down to two stars and I won't be back for...
