Fabuloso! Seriously, this place is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. They offer great food at a moderate price; attentive staff; comfortable seating, well maintained facilities, and delightful atmosphere. They have a good amount of booths, enough tables to accommodate 2-3 large groups, and a separate bar section with large TV. We have eaten here once a week since they opened. Now going for the 5th time. I'm a vegetarian and they have accommodated my variations, meeting or exceeding my expectations every time. Their fresh made guacamole is almost a meal in itself and one of the tastiest I've had. My husband goes for the Carne, he has had the steak, pork, & chicken. each has been cooked to perfection. The margaritas are worthy as well! We get on the rocks and they give a generous pour; not just a splash over a glass full of ice! My only negative to date has been the flan. It is tasty, with a good texture, but has been over cooked every time, making the bottom a little dry and chewy. Not too bad mind you, I still order it every time! The last time we visited with a group of 12. That was a bit of a challenge. we had several people arriving later, so orders were being taken and served a different times; separate checks; to go orders added in; a servers nightmare. But they handled it well, service was off but still pleasant and attentive when possible. When one creates the havoc, one needs to offer grace, so I would say they passed the test with high marks. Late night so I found this place that was open till 10 to grab a quick dinner. We arrived at 9:20 and they close at 10. The server Alfredo immediately tells us (before even a hello) we close at 10 our kitchen stops cooking at 9:30. Now I have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years and anywhere I have worked it doesn't matter if someone comes in 5 min before you close the kitchen is cooking. I had to tell Alfredo yes I am aware what time you close...he took our Order, food was delivered in 5 min and he never once checked on us. We ate and we're done before 10. We will never return. Not only that but the "margarita" tasted of soda water and lime juice minus the tequila. My husbands bowl that had steak was so tough he couldn't chew it. Then they were vacuuming around us so we couldn't even talk and hear each other. P If you close at 10 the kitchen closes at 10 not 9:30. Tonight’s experience ensured that I never return to your restaurant. Your food is fine, but the way the server acted, I will not be back. I ordered two large chicken soups and a large guacamole and chips to-go. After I payed, tipped, and received my order, I asked the server behind the bar for an extra bag of chips since we had gotten the guacamole as well. One bag automatically comes with the soup. She said no problem and went to the back to get more. The other server - I assume manager - comes out and tells me I cannot have more chips, there is already a bag in with my food. I explain that that is not enough for what we ordered. He wouldn’t budge. Over chips. He says I cannot have more and stands there and stares at me. I left.
