I stumbled upon this place by chance today while walking to the Oakmont Market, and I’m so glad I did. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by the owner with such warmth that it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. We chatted, shared stories, and talked about how important community and family are. These days, it’s rare to walk into a restaurant and instantly feel at home, but that’s exactly what it felt like here. This is a true family-owned business (also a rarity in the bay area), and you can tell immediately how much pride they take in both their food and their service. The owner personally helped me choose a few items, prepared everything fresh on the spot, and sent me off with not just delicious food but also the kind of welcoming feeling you carry with you the rest of the day. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Places like this deserve our support and we should help them thrive!

First time coming to this location since the original owners sold. The originals were very much so New York style pizza and the old owner was incredibly nice so I love going here years and years ago. I gave the new look a try and while I would not describe this as New York style pizza, it is still very solid in its own right. The young man working the counter was polite and helpful, the prices were okay in the menu options were rather robust. Settled on a pepperoni pizza and was pleasantly surprised by how well they did the portions. Great amount of cheese, pepperoni, and the crust was tasty. Worth checking out if you want a no frills pizza.

Aloha and Pepperoni Paradise: A Slice of Heaven at 212 Halal Pizza Craving a taste of the tropics and a classic pepperoni fix? Look no further than 212 Halal Pizza! I recently embarked on a delicious journey through their Hawaiian and pepperoni pizzas, and let me tell you, it was a flavor fiesta that left me wanting more (and maybe a nap on a beach, but that's beside the point).

Hawaiian Pizza:

Tropical Bliss: Picture this: a golden canvas of perfectly crisp New York-style crust, generously adorned with melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella cheese. Tangy pineapple chunks glisten like sunshine amidst savory ham slices, each bite a delightful dance of sweet and salty. The kicker? A drizzle of creamy white sauce that adds a touch of richness and elevates the whole experience. It's not your average Hawaiian pizza; it's a tropical masterpiece.

Pepperoni Perfection: For the purists out there, 212 Halal Pizza's pepperoni offering is a symphony of simplicity done right. The crust, again, is the star of the show – thin, crispy, and with a satisfying chew. Each pepperoni slice is a tiny cup of savory goodness, its crisp edges curling around pools of melty mozzarella. The ratio of meat to cheese is spot-on, ensuring every bite is bursting with flavor without becoming greasy or overwhelming. It's a pepperoni pizza that respects the classics while exceeding expectations.

Beyond the Slice:

But 212 Halal Pizza isn't just about the pies (although, let's be real, the pies are pretty darn amazing). The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the overall experience is just plain enjoyable. Whether you're dining in or taking it to go, 212 Halal Pizza is a surefire way to satisfy your pizza cravings and leave you with a smile (and maybe a pineapple-induced sugar rush, but that's just a bonus).

Verdict:

If you're looking for a halal pizza experience that goes beyond the ordinary, 212 Halal Pizza is the place to be. Their Hawaiian pizza is a tropical dream come true, and their pepperoni pizza is a testament to the power of simplicity done right. With friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to grab a slice (or two) and let your taste buds do the hula. Aloha!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

P.S. Don't forget to ask about their other halal offerings like wings, calzones, and salads! You won't be...

UPDATE - The owner did respond, and I did submit a complaint to the delivery app about their driver being careless.

HOWEVER, the fact that both boxes were open when they were handed to me means that the restaurant did not seal them properly before the driver picked up the order. As I said in my original review, every other pizza place I've ordered them since the stay at home orders were issued have taped or wrapped the boxes in plastic to ensure sterilization.

While I appreciate that the owner responded respectfully, I don't think I will order from here again.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

Good food, but won't order from here again after this experience

I've ordered from this place before, and the food is good (hence the three stars), but this time I ordered through an app and requested contactless delivery. Although the driver arrived earlier than expected, he waited at the door with my food, and was not wearing a mask (so much for contactless delivery). Other pizza places have taken to wrapping the box in plastic or something to ensure it's sterile when delivered, but not only was my food not covered, both of the boxes were partially open when he handed them to me. I let the food cool off and popped a couple of slices in the oven for a little while to be on the safe side and the food tastes okay, but the whole experience has...
