Feb 17, 2021 I placed an mobile order to Jack in the Box in Cupertino. I ordered 2 Spicy Jack chicken sandwiches (not cheese), a side of Large fries and a large drink. Before submitting the mobile order in the app I opted to customized my 2 spicy Jack's ONLY adding (not subtracting anything) extra swiss cheese, extra mayo, ketchup,mustard and pickles. Picked up my order and on my way back home I looked inside the sandwiches and noticed that NEITHER sandwiches had ANY LETTUCE or TOMATOES on them. When I got home I called the restaurant and spoke to them calmly about the problem and instead of showing HUMILITY they accused me of being the problem because I complained a few days prior because of missing ingredients. Instead of DOING THE RIGHT THING, shouldering the blame (rightfully so) and fix the concern they send me through an ordeal of neverending disputable lies trying to defend themselves (in pride) telling me that they correctly made the order how I placed it. I knew they were lying because if ANYONE customizes a burger or sandwich and chooses to REMOVE a particular ingredient (lettuce and tomatoes) that ORIGINALLY comes with the item your mobile order history AND RECEIPT is going to read; "No lettuce" "No tomatoes" under the items name and price. All spicy Jack's are made with lettuce and tomatoes whether original or with cheese, so you SHOULD ALWAYS receive lettuce and tomatoes unless you MANUELLY REMOVE it yourself. So finally the manager accepts to refund my money back but told me I had to come get my refund since the order I placed was through the app. I drive to the restaurant and theirs 5 cops waiting, signaling me to pull to the side. The cops tells me the restaurant reported me trespassing even though the manager told me to come pickup my refund! Not only did they renege on my refund but they wouldnt even let me replace the bad order THAT I STILL HAD (untouched) for 2 new Jack's made correctly. They owe me $12.40. Read moreEdit, lowering my review from three stars to two stars. About a week since I left my last review and I've been the Jack in The box two or three times. Twice already, my order of two jumbo jacks has come with one of them with a tomato, and one without a tomato, after the owner of the store replied to my comment. very disappointing, it's not just that I have to pick the tomatoes out, I am placing an order here for food to be made in a specific way through the customization in their app, and their workers repeatedly and consistently cannot follow the simplest instruction. I am not being provided what I'm paying for here. Will continue to edit my review in a few weeks to see if there is any sort of process improvement, or if there's just no care at this store.
Giving the store a three out of five stars for now. I love to eat burgers, I hate tomatoes. I always make my orders without tomatoes, and I say a majority of the time, this store cannot even get it correctly. I place it two for five jumbo Jack no tomato order because of a deal, and it's not even like they consistently put tomatoes in, or they consistently leave them out. In the same order of only two burgers, they will put tomatoes in one Burger, and have no tomatoes in the other Burger, it's like these people are so confused about how to use their hands and their eyes I have no clue what the heck is going on in their kitchen.
