This is a simple unassuming restaurant (alongside a Montana style casino and sports bar) located in a strip mall in Small Town America. It is among the best casual dining options in all of Glacier, Toole, and Pondera counties.
The Village serves typical American diner fare, tasty, well prepared, and a good value. They have a well stocked full service bar. Sandwiches, steaks, all-day breakfast, and homemade soups are staple items, augmented with daily specials. Ethnic dishes are occasionally offered; while tasty by Montana standards, visitors accustomed to authentic preparations are wise to consider more typically American fare.
Service here from the entire staff is well above expectations, but you'll be especially fortunate if you sit in Daniel's section. Regulars know which tables to pick in order to enjoy his effusively fun, friendly, and exceptionally competent service.
If you are hungry when near Cut Bank, the Village is an excellent option. If you are heading towards Glacier National Park, you should consider stopping here even if you are only slightly peckish; dining options are few and far between West of town and the better ones tend to be considerably...
Read moreI’m updating as of 10/17/22. They have excellent drinks, bartender during the day and late afternoon is super friendly. She’s very proactive and makes sure you have everything you need before your food arrives so you’re not waiting on ketchup or napkins or utensils, when the food is served (hot and delicious) you just eat it. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries are delicious, the burrito (north) covered in queso is amazing. The salads, mozzarella cheese sticks, giant taco, soups, steak, everything we’ve eaten there has just been fantastic. We’ve dined in and watched a couple sporting events. The homemade blueberry pie was yummy. Definitely recommend this place. Went back a couple nights later (we’re remodeling our kitchen) had the chicken fried steak (HUGE) and the French dip with Swiss cheese. They were both delicious and we tried the pecan pie this time and it was totally delicious. We both took half our entrees home. Honestly a favorite...
Read moreUpdate: we went here for Mother's day this year hoping the new ownership had caused some good improvements. There was only one or two other tables occupied when we came in. We got our drinks and placed our simple orders quickly. After that, we waited for 55 minutes without a single visit from the waitress and no food! I left 10 bucks on the table for the drinks and left. Absolutely unacceptable.
It's always hit or miss here when it comes to the meals. Sometimes I'll be very pleased, other times regret giving it another go. It's hard it Cut Bank to get delivery of quality ingredients for restaurants, so maybe that's the difference between visits. Maybe it's a different cook each time. I don't know. I do know, though, that despite the menu saying burgers are made with 100% fresh beef, they sure seem like the frozen patties that...
